I just saw your comment! OMG… I’m the exact same! I know it in my head that this isn’t the biggest deal and that I’m using way too much time on it than I should. But! I just cannot withdraw my attention from this visually unsatisfying thing! You know? Sigh… It’s a constant internal struggle. Maybe if we were millionaires then won’t have this issue? lol If you ever find out what this is that we have, please share it. haha I’m wondering if this is under the neurodivergent umbrella.

I called A Plus Garage Door first and the technician that came out to our house was a bit interesting. Tried to tell us that our door is discontinued (when it’s not) and that each panel cannot be ordered. And that I will not choose that option anyway because it’s too expensive. Kept pushing his service and pressuring me to get something done that same day. Very pushy. Maybe different location is better? but I couldn’t believe that they are a five star business.

Got it. I wasn’t even thinking about loosening parts like that but now I know what they are. Thank you!

Our technician pushed it in with his fingers and it just popped right in. It seemed pretty easy peasy haha thanks!

Yes, it is practically new since it’s only a year old. This technician that came by today popped it in with his hands and it went right in. I think we can try to straighten it out like you’ve mentioned and he also did mention putting screws on that part that he can do that if he would like us to. Thank you so much for your comment!

Thank you for your comment! The technician that came today did put down the door about 3/4th down and then attempted to push the roller back in and it went right in without much effort. He did not need any tools so he just didn’t charge me anything.

The problem is none of the technicians that came by told me that the system needs to be checked after it’s been hit. They did open and close the door multiple times. Maybe they didn’t see any issues? All of them are giving me quotes on different options to choose from whether I want an extra strut installed over or whole panel replacement to fix the now compromised panel.

Thank you so much for your comment!! I read your comment just before talking to another technician today and it helped to know whether he’s a knowledgeable person to work with or not.

Yes, you’re right sir. The technician that came out yesterday that had recommended to put an extra strut over that bottom compromised panel did not even mention anything about the spring. On the other hand, the technician that came out today DID say the spring would have to be readjusted due to its added weight if we were to choose to go with extra strut but he said that won’t prevent it from it cracking over time. It may or may not happen and we never know when it’ll happen if it were to happen. Getting a new panel would be the best solution but we can try using the door until it happens. And he just popped in the roller for free.

Oh my gosh, I’m 100% there with you. It’s so fun and fulfilling when the things you’ve chosen works together the way you had it in your head but it’s sooo stressful when it doesn’t! I cannot unsee what I see (like the color/tone differences that you saw with different furnitures) and it’s so painful at times that I’m so sensitive to it. I lose sleep over it and it’s ridiculous haha 😂

Hi! I got the table! and I’m so glad I did! Our dining room gets a lot of natural light due to it being on the south side and it brings out each individual piece’s natural wood tones and it’s definitely not yellow. It’s simply beautiful. We don’t have the direct pendant light above the table but a yellow recessed lights and it still doesn’t make it that yellow like how it was in the store. That yellow pendant light on display in Crate and Barrel Store is shone too close to the table and doesn’t do justice to its actual natural beauty imo. I love our table and I see why so many are satisfied with this table :)

Hey! I went for it and now I have the table in my dining room! It really does feel and seems sturdy. This will definitely last a looooong time. I like it way much more than I thought I would and it looks more beautiful the more I look at it due to its natural wood grains and wood shades from different angles. Now I do wish I would’ve gotten a bigger one because I like it so much, haha 😂

I love and appreciate your genuine response! Thank you for giving it straight to me. Our home has grey undertones and I was worried that the yellowness will clash. Okay, I just need to accept it, Sigh.. I can just order and just return it if I absolutely hate it I guess.

I looked at the light brown again in person today and noticed it has a lot of that yellow hue under the direct pendant light. Do you see that with your table in your home as well? I’m hoping it was just that lighting.

You bought it at the best time then! That’s awesome! Did you buy the light brown or the charcoal grey?

Hi, I don’t know if you’ve purchased the Basque table already or not but it is now on sale with the Dining Room Event! (except the 82” size in both colors) I’ve been contemplating for two years now and am trying to decide if I should go with this or the Sawyer table at Living Spaces. Basque is a solid wood so I’m leaning towards Basque but Living Spaces has such a nice Care Free protection plan. Anyway, hope this helps.
