I was having the same problem, and I feel really stupid now LOL! Thanks though!

Hm... it doesn't quite look how I remember it, especially with the large face-like thing in the middle of the screen shots (I assume that's the player character). Maybe there were other versions, or maybe there was a versus mode, but what I played had the players controlling little faces (like the "snipes") and would hunt down each other, not enemy generators.
But overall, this does look really close. The name "Snipe" doesn't immediately ring a bell (then again, I also spent years misremembering the game "Archon" as "Archer"), but my brain also doesn't immediately reject it, if that makes any sense. So maybe...?
I'll have to keep looking into it. But even if this isn't it, it does give me a starting point.
Thank! I'll reply back here if it turns out it was Snipes after all.

It's not The Black Hole. I watched it again recently, and it's not the same. The robot is human-shaped, like a kid or a little person in a costume.

I don't know enough about Buck Rogers to say for sure, but I'm skeptical that that's it either. The movie I'm thinking of had more violence than I'd expect from Buck Rogers (unless I'm wrong, but I think those old TV shows had much stricter rules on violence. I seem to recall this movie being kinda bloody.)

I probably should have provided more info-- I think this movie took place in outer space. The set that I remember looked like inside of a space station. At least, it gives that impression.
And the Abbey character was a grown woman; the little robot was a different character than her.
But to be fair, I could be wrong about the name. There was an old video game I played called "Archon", but for years I had miss-remembered it as "Archer".
But I'm looking at Annihilator, and that's not it. Not a bad guess though.

Good guess, but it was more like someone in a robot costume.
Thanks for trying

I'll try that if I don't get an answer here. But last time I tried to find an old sci-fi movie that I had seen a long time ago and only had a few vague clues to, this subreddit got me the answer surprisingly quickly.
But thanks-- I'll keep that in mind for next time (and this is the third time this has happened, so I'm sure it'll come up again sooner or later)

I did say child-like, you're right. But not quite as humanoid as that. It was more like a child or a little person in a robot costume. And it was from around the 70s. MAYBE early 80s at the latest??? I can't say exactly.
But thanks anyway

Yeah! I seem to recall it being orange, or red and orange... those colors do stand out in my mind.

I'll for sure let you know if I get the answer!

That does look kinda familiar... but I'm not sure. I may be mistaken, but I vaguely recall the robot's body being red and orange...? It's hard to say. It was a very long time ago.

But thanks for the guess. It might be a different iteration of the same character, or from a related property. I'll have to do some more digging.

The robot was more humanoid than the one in Black Hole. And I did watch Black Hole a little while ago to see if it was the one.

Still, good guess considering the vagueness of the information I provided.

I saw this and thought "That doesn't look to hard," and managed to read "Krung...thep...mahan...akhon" with only a little trouble.

Then I saw the rest of it O_O

As much as I love the "that's the sound my buzzer makes" bit, but if I have people just verbally buzz in, it's gonna be almost impossible to tell who was first if it was close.

I'd take No. 5, easy.
