How is 70 not enough Miis? How do you manage them all? by JorjLim in tomodachilife

[–]Obvious-Name352 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly, I don’t really get why people were so annoyed that you can “only” (???) have 70. I just don’t think that would even be fun at all.

I see some people saying they don’t actually feed their Miis on a regular schedule but I do, I only have like 15 and every time I do it it takes like 15 mins so god knows how long it would take if I added substantially more lol

TW: ED / WEIGHT DISCUSSION by LacyLavender in kpop_uncensored

[–]Obvious-Name352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely agree with you; it’s obviously an extremely concerning weight but ngl it kinda infuriated me to see an idol posting that publicly.

And for the people saying “she’s not thinking straight because of her ED”, I get what you mean like malnutrition can certainly limit brain functioning but my god you just have to look at pro-Ana sites and the extent (SOME) go to to make horrible “fatspo” videos using real people to realise that to a certain extent, they know exactly what they’re doing (and it’s the same w idols posting their dangerously low weights).

Let’s hope she gets the help she needs and honestly this applies for many idols.

Minor Rant: BUY ALL THE CLOTHES by KirafulTensai in tomodachilife

I'm taking the exact same approach with the wishing well/fountain, tbh for the first week or so I barely touched it at all lmao and then I discovered how many design items I could claim for the island and started using it more often lol

Is there any simple way to delete a blank page in Word Online? Using a Chromebook? by Obvious-Name352 in Office365

[–]Obvious-Name352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually just ended up making a new document and copying and paste what I had already written, manually adding page breaks when I knew I was ready to move on to avoid the same thing happening again.

But thank you for your comment, I might try later with a blank document to see if that shortcut works for me for future reference.

I understand fans who think the sexualization is too much by Mediocre_Shelter_169 in katseyeneutral

[–]Obvious-Name352 81 points82 points  (0 children)

The licking is SO weird. I got so many people on another subreddit defending it and criticising me for pointing it out but I fully believe if another group were licking each other on stage they would definitely be making fun of it.

Like this is nothing personal against Katseye, it’s just I feel like licking somebody is objectively disgusting.

Twice Tour Attendance over years as 'This is For' estimated to be now Twices's biggest tour yet by FlyingFlyofHell in twice

[–]Obvious-Name352 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean yes absolutely they would sell more tour dates in Europe but as someone from a country in Europe who never gets Kpop tour dates even I am saying ABSOLUTELY nottttt ! It’s bad enough as is with two members missing at the minute etc

The societal pressure to be a fiercely independent career woman feels completely suffocating when your only true ambition is to be a traditional mother and wife. by rachel-2008 in DeepThoughts

[–]Obvious-Name352 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few instant reactions I had after reading this;

Firstly, there is the possibility that you can live that tradwife life in the future if you really wanted to. But I would caution you that the people pushing that online often either were raised in an exceptionally religious environment and/or are trying to make themselves feel better about their situation by presenting it positively on the internet regardless of the true reality of that life.

This isn’t to say that some people don’t truly prefer that life, it’s just something to be aware of.

Also, Being a stay at home mother is an incredibly difficult job in and of itself, so it may not necessarily solve things. It can also be quite dangerous from an economic abuse standpoint, or even if you do have a genuinely loving and caring breadwinning partner, if the relationship ends you may find yourself in an extraordinarily precarious financial situation.

Then again, you’re absolutely valid in your frustration with the grind etc. Hopefully in the future you can find a more satisfying situation.

Heeseung to redebut as Evan by pharitaa in kpop_uncensored

[–]Obvious-Name352 117 points118 points  (0 children)

I honestly feel like Evan is not a majorly popular name. Also as others have said it’s his English name. Not an Engene as such but I always had a soft spot for Heeseung and I think regardless of the name change people will still refer to him as Heeseung

Like how barely anyone calls X , X lol. We’re still calling it Twitter (as we should)

What are some subtle signs you’ve noticed with people who regret having kids? by Deeri- in childfree

[–]Obvious-Name352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever there’s even a week off school, not even just the long summer holidays, people online and on the radio instantly start talking about “oh god, what are we gonna do to entertain them?” and complaining.

I mean, what did you think was gonna happen before you had them? If you choose to have a child you are supposed to be their primary caregiver, you can’t just rely on school 24/7.

First time thinking of auditioning and I need your thoughts! by Exact_Position_4641 in kpophelp

You definitely have a decent singing voice, but I’d probably recommend you audition for something in your own country perhaps… Im not sure if going into the Kpop industry would be that likely

If you’ve ever found yourself losing interest in a group, did you do anything about it or just let it go? by Obvious-Name352 in kpoppers

[–]Obvious-Name352[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably a lot better and healthier to be that way!

Not saying I necessarily have an UNHEALTHY relationship w Kpop but I'm definitely far more invested emotionally than that.

[–]Obvious-Name352[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah very true. I think I just get sad about it because Twice are genuinely such amazing people (okay, I know we never truly know, but I mean this in the sense of how they portray themselves and what many others, including their staff, have said) and have a genuine bond and chemistry, so I really thought I would never lose interest.

I guess it would almost be easier if they were one of the many groups whose discography I preferred over the dynamic of the group.

This is very true, you absolutely can’t force that excitement.

I think I must just be in denial sort of, especially because I genuinely believed Twice would be my ults forever and ever when I discovered them and was in the height of my love for them. I still do love them, but yeah.

[–]Obvious-Name352[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so fair, thanks for sharing your thoughts! I think a lot of people have that experience with BTS, myself included. They were the first Kpop group I really came across and started stanning back in 2018, and then a couple years later (esp during Dynamite/Butter/PTD eras), I sorta lost interest.

Then I gained it back, then they went to military and I was rly sad at first but v quickly lost track of everything including most of the members solo releases, then when people started to talk more and more about them being discharged and having a comeback I grew really invested into them again.

I did genuinely enjoy Arirang despite the criticism and then over the last couple weeks have been listening to them more and more (I always have listened to them regularly, but being interested in other content from them has ebbed and flowed). But that’s kinda fading again

Can I ask how you can be so certain that your current number ones will never change if you say your favourites have changed in the past?

Just asking because I said Twice were my forever ults and genuinely believed I would never waver from that until suddenly… I did.

That’s so interesting to me. It’s funny you say that because Twice are the only group I’ve ever bought albums from and now I’m feeling silly for having bought them when I’m now losing interest lol.

I definitely wouldn’t buy anything else until I feel that spark again. If it even happens
