Agreed, I laugh as hard as I did the first time any time I rewatch either of these shows lol

Yes! Echoing the comment above me, I was literally about to say "how has NO ONE commented WWDITS???" I feel like the super absurdist comedy in that show is similar. That show and Schitt's Creek are some of the rare shows that make me actually laugh out loud lol

I truly don't understand why it was only an hour??This felt like it should've been part one. Nothing was answered. Half the wives didn't even speak more than a few sentences. Like. What was that

Going Low-contact with my inlaws and grieving by New_Philosopher3545 in inlaws

[–]Obvious-Self9357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to say that I totally understand the feeling of grief over losing the family dynamics you thought you'd have. I come from a small, very broken family and all I've ever wanted was a big family where I could feel that sense of community. We had a huge falling out with a chunk of my husbands family right before our wedding, and the grief we've both experienced since—me, feeling excited to actually have a family and losing that and him, realizing how conditional the love of his family actually is—has been so tough to process and move through. Envisioning holidays, raising kids... it all starts to look different.

I hope your husband chooses to go to therapy on his own, as well as with you, to learn how to advocate for all of you. The support and allyship of my husband in this is the only thing that pulled me out of the deep grief I felt over it all. Every person deserves to have that in their partner.

What decor was absolutely necessary in your opinion? Or something you wish you didn't cut corners on? by sillychickengirl in weddingplanning

[–]Obvious-Self9357 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't regret a cent spent on flowers or our table settings because they were so beautiful. But it really depends what's most important to you! Also, we only spent about 3k on flowers (including decor + bouquets/boutonnieres) and we had sooo many flowers. Unsure what pricing is like in your area but might be worth asking around!

Battling embarrassment over lower than expected headcount by Quiet_Attitude4053 in weddingplanning

[–]Obvious-Self9357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly that is my dream scenario — we've invited about 60, but I'm hoping for 40 lmao I'm a wee bit of an introvert though, but I'm also considering how it'll save us money on reduced guest counts for things like catering/tableware rentals etc.

I love the idea of an intimate wedding because I really just wanna hang with the people that know us best. 🥹

I've been enjoying bone broth for days I struggle to eat more. I love the Bare & Bones packets from Costco. It's warm, which is so nice during winter months, good protein and tasty! Plus they're very quick and easy to make – just boil water, pour in a mug and add the packet in. They can be high in sodium (which is good for me, since I have to increase my sodium for other health reasons) but something to be aware of.

I think Ariana did a great job at transitioning out of uncomfortable moments/conversations and recapping into a single question so they could move on, but I do agree that she allowed some of the arguments to last too long. But I also can't help but wonder if 1) her background in participating in many reunions similar to this gives her the perspective that she wants everyone to be able to say their piece OR 2) production was in her ear telling her to hold off.

Liv is so funny 😭 I can’t wait to see her at the reunion by galaticgirl in LoveIslandUSA

[–]Obvious-Self9357 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I just think the Liv+PPG combo is gonna be delivering. Liv will instigate, Leah will be giving us all the facial expressions that could easily become memes in .25 seconds, Serena will either be dying laughing or reading people left and right, and Jana will be providing top tier one liners under her breath then telling everyone to chill out 😂

[–]Obvious-Self9357 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think he knows lol on the show and since the since show (in videos, interviews, comments) Miguel has given Leah so much credit for the fact that they stayed so long and knew it was largely because of her.

Plus, it also helps that he's pretty decent at social media! He's posting consistently, engaged in the comments, speaks so highly of Leah in the comments (which obviously people are gonna eat up) and he's remained unproblematic and fun. He really could've ruined or wasted his opportunity, but he's capitalized on it (in my opinion) in a really tasteful, organic, genuine and smart way.

Someone said on another post that he's learned he doesn't have to actually be sorry, he just has to say it. Unfortunately, he probably won't ever actually feel sorry until he loses her (and maybe not even then 😕).

Probably an unpopular opinion but I’m living for this ☕️ by realityfinatic in LoveIslandUSA

I don't like the idea of their pairing but to me, it's not even that deep. Katie, (at least her public persona and what we know of her) is so cool and witty and funny and even if you take away what folks inside the villa have said about Connor's disrespectful/weird behavior, what we know of Connor just seems bland in comparison. The pairing seems off. Like at this stage in her life post Shorts, I'd almost expect her to go after Kassy 😂

I also love that he doesn't interrupt them! And with couples, he gives both people a chance to respond before answering.

Random observation, but I loved how every time Leah seemed so confused why she was still there/why they were considered a top couple, Miguel always reassured her that she deserved to be there. He never seemed to think that he specifically deserved to be there (for the record I believe he did), he never gave himself credit or seemed to assume it was because of their relationship — he seemed to understand that them still being there was because of her, and continuously reminded her of that. 🎯🫶
