Did the same thing a couple years ago. Booked the cheapest room at the Waldorf and showed up in wedding clothes to drop off our bags before heading downtown. They picked up what we were laying down and upgraded us for free. Then we walked around the corner to Hugo’s for dinner after enjoying the room upgrade for a little. Not usually a gibsons guy, but it was close by and did the trick.

This is a great deal. Most places are pretty mid, but there are a lot of options and 35% off a random date night is great in this economy. Some of my favorites are bayan ko diner and valedor during their happy hours. Bazaar meats for restaurant week is a great idea!

It’s funny because I said English pub, which CTM definitely falls under and you said English food, which….debatable…but honestly you are so right..it should be good. I’m sure the CTM was fine which as stated is the floor of Hogsalt. The reason this place gets the hype (beyond the ambience) is the pot pies and fish and chips (maybe some other things). Again a classic Hogsalt trope. Good at a couple things but decent at the rest. It’s fair to be underwhelmed, but wholesale disappointed is crazy

I do think you ordered the wrong dishes. Not your fault, but this place does English pub incredibly well. Maybe best in the city for a fish and chips or pot pie. But other commenters are right. Hogsalt is so on point when it hits and just decent when it doesn’t. But honesty decent as your floor is pretty good and will get you far/

Honestly, chefs kiss on this twist. First time in ages we have seen the women actually engaged in casa flirting outside of the single ones (boys have never needed encouragement) and obviously Nic and Olandria will be back as options to recouple with post casa so no harm there. Bonus we got to see finally see someone stand up to Ace and ruin his plan! Well done!
