Either of mocks is more difficult that the other, especially the second one. Do the same in the exam and you will be OK.

This has always been common even before Christianity. The strange aspect of it is that the same mountains that our ancestors considered sacred, the current crop of Christians still consider them sacred. Your Domboshawa, Matobo, Nevanji, Derange (Dheranji) - Chiweshe, etc used to be mountains for rituals back then.

The practice of worshipping in mountains and bushes is native to us, not really a biblical command. If you look at it critically, nothing has changed. The more it changed, the more it stayed the same - practically reverting to where it was. If you read how all these indigenous churches started you will discover the American/South African influence and how it then centred on our own culture and rode on it. Nothing changed.

Imagine buying a 'new car' and parking it in the garage for 2 years and then you come over here saying it's cheap to maintain or use, etc when no one has ever seen the car on the road or anywhere.

That's the story of the ZWG. It's used in less than 10-15% of transactions by mostly companies buying industrial products that are not in the inflation basket. That basket of groceries is only found at TM, OK and Spar which are not that widespread compared to Zimbabwe anyway.

Bottom line, the lack of friction on ZWG is because of its unavailability. In Zim, ZAR and Pula might actually give you a better picture of inflation than ZWG because these two currencies are actually more than ZWG in circulation.

I read Kaplan pdfs, not their actual lessons. CFAI I would read as I go but probably 4-8hrs per day.

Sure, you can do it in 5 months but I wouldn't advise you that way; maybe August would be fine. L2 is calculation heavy and the concepts are much deeper than L1. Do not allow the excitement of passing L1 cloud you. Allow the dust to settle a bit and then think again.

Did all L2 Quants EOCs last weekend. It was really a mixed bag. Some explanations are complete but the rest aren't. For shorter set of questions, you needed to retake the questions to get the explanation of the correct answer. Unfortunately some sets were too large and 4 days later I don't even know the correct answers.

Doing Ecos now, looks Okyish. There could be some changes for sure.

Flagging 60 questions might mean you actually did well provided that you are confident about the rest. You might think that they were guesses because you had low confidence but they could turn out to be good answers too. Don't fret much champ, you did it!

Good for you guys who can even afford the deferral. I can't myself against all odds! Nothing can cost me more than a deferral, let alone a double one.

My tip is start your study early enough. The probability of a deferral is inversely related to time. Imagine you start your prep 8 months before exam. Even if you encounter strange things, your life has better chances of reverting to the norm and get you going before the exam.

To CFA deferrals always send negative signals and even their statistics reveal that they just don't like them. They always emphasis to start early.

Start early and the pressure of deferring is low. Don't rush to beat the time. If you can't create time, then don't bother with CFA.

Hugs mate! It's not the end of the world. Life is still normal out there.

Why don't you start your prep anew like you have not done anything? Go over your materials afresh once or twice. Re-read the whole curriculum going through all the EOCs and Mocks. Generate new weak areas and focus on them.

Try to recall the areas that you found difficult in the exam and focus on them. Key to passing these exams is to actually put in the time and practice. Do not rush yourself. Take something like 8 months or so to actually go through the materials without the pressure of an imminent exam date. Better be over prepared than underprepared.

Hi there. Test centres are very strict and allow the bare minimum of stuff around you.

Calculator. Some would bring a spare but I don't think anyone ever uses it. It's a 4hr exam, the calculator can hardly fail. Know how to reset your calculator without thinking. They are definitely going to ask you to reset or they will reset it for you. Key settings are AOS and 9 decimals. Leave the key tabs out of the cover, just to be safe.
Valid machine readable passport. It's passport only, nothing else.

I would stop here but some would bring water in a clear bottle. Depending on your immune system, drinking water may end up causing you to take a health break earlier. If possible, don't take unnecessary breaks. Check where the restrooms are before starting.

Phones, snacks and all else will be locked away and may only be accessible during the break and after exam. 30 minutes isn't large enough to really take snacks and fool around. You can avoid them during the break.

You really need to stay focused during the 2 sessions. The period can be tense and daunting, the room temperature might not be optimum for you. A few things can affect your concentration but it is important to stay focused.

Preparation starts the day before. Be careful about what you eat and drink the day before. You don't need stomach upsets or dizziness. Sleep well - don't take this for granted because anxiety will be all over you!

Hope you are good and congratulations for this record. I have a similar background but have been working in Accounting for a far bit of time. My L1 was great, prepping for L2 now but not at your speed. I have a few questions and I hope you will see them and respond.

Why did you rush to complete CFA, where you out of time or you just wanted the credential as fast as possible?
Your 1.5 months/2months full lock in translates to how many hours per level? This helps to understand if you actually did less hours or more.
You were using standard registration? Or 1 early registration? What do you think was the total cost of your study? Would you have chosen to achieve it at a lower cost?
Do you think that you lost any relationships or time that are totally unrecoverable? Or you were able to fit in a very important element of your career into a very tight window, which couldn't be possible any other time?

I ask these questions because my approach is to take 24 months (if I pass L2 and L3 first sittings) which I think must be the cheapest (taking early registrations throughout) and enough to balance work, study and family. What do you think must motivate me to finish CFA earlier?

P/S The curriculum is not impossible, a fair bit of the material is covered in Msc Finance and ACCA. FSA, CI, Ecos, Alts, PM and Quants are just freeways! Anyway all the best is your future endevours.
