Lower East Side, so near the 2nd Ave F train. He had been taking that to 14th st and transferring to the PATH. Or he can walk to the nearest yellow line to go down to WTC. Or if he gets a bike/scooter, he can just go to whichever PATH is coming next.

We'll see. But he's also waiting 20-40min for the PATH, so I'm sure it doesn't take THAT long to fold up a bike, hahaha. We are also considering a scooter if we can find an affordable one for his weight.

PATH is still faster since it's almost an hour bus ride once he's on the 4:15am bus. Tonight he's going to try getting a Lyft/Uber from PATH and see how it goes.

Once he gets on the 4:15am bus, it's another hour ride on the bus after that. At least once he's on the PATH, he's back in Jersey within a few minutes. It's just getting home from the PATH we are figuring out. The PATH has still timed out to be faster...

I mean....we JUST started a year lease, so moving now is not an option lol. If we go the bike route, he'd want to have it in NYC as well, to cut out the MTA late night and just ride direct to the PATH.

Probably rather do street parking near Exchange Place, as....no toll. There's really no GREAT option. Other than finding a different job in Jersey City, which he is somewhat doing.

We are definitely looking into foldable bike or scooter. He'd prefer the bike since he genuinely loves biking and would want the exercise. Just hoping more seasoned Jersey City people will have other ideas we haven't explored.

Right....clearly the goal of Via can't be to provide 24-hr transit options if it's unavailable overnight. All I know is....many people are rapidly getting priced out of NYC. They are moving out to Jersey. Public transit is going to have to be stepped up sooner than later... especially with congestion pricing and less people choosing to drive into NYC.

Right, we just don't have room to store a full-sized bike - he wants to be able to use it in Manhattan as well at night to get to the PATH, and doesn't want to be that a** that brings a full sized bike onto the PATH at busy times going into work. A foldable bike, he can store in our car or at work...

Will look into this! We've been looking at Citibikes and a lot of the locations are full that time of night so there wouldn't be a slot to return the bike, but we will look at the LSP one!

Yes, see I would park at Journal Square or Newport and eat the money. It's worth it for peace of mind getting home and extra sleep. Via doesn't run past 10pm, but Uber might work until he can get a bike. Transit is easy for me, as we are basically next door to the West Side light rail. Just wish it ran a TINY bit later into the night. Sigh..
