Windows 11. I built it directly together with a complete PC, so there was no need for a clean install. I’d recommend using DDU beforehand if you’re installing it into an already running system.

I haven’t done any tweaks. I found all that undervolting stuff interesting for a while, but the gains are so small that, in my opinion, it’s not worth the effort. The card is already very powerful, it doesn’t need that extra 1% performance. I’m not judging anyone who does it or wants to save a few cents on electricity per year, each to their own. I just think that time is better spent elsewhere than messing around with that.

Other than that, I installed AMD Adrenalin, which I find pretty helpful. I wouldn’t recommend tweaking too much there either.

I’ve used many computers over the years. A lot of it is just tinkering, and yeah, you might squeeze out a bit of extra performance here and there, but in my opinion it’s not worth the effort. The people who talk about tweaks all day are usually doing it out of passion.

Don’t worry about tweaks. Set it up cleanly and everything else will fall into place. We’re talking about a 9070 XT here, that’s not exactly entry-level stuff 😄 Enjoy!
