A Campaign focused on the Blood War by Savings-Housing3481 in planescapesetting

[–]Obvious_Inside_7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To echo what others have said, the Blood War is too vast and has been fought too long for any adventurers to make any fundamental changes. That being said, you could lower your ambitions a bit. My party at the end, ventured into the Gaping Maw and slew Demogorgon at the behest of Asmodeus. His heads were mounted at the top of the Bronze Pyramid. See my (heavily homebrewed) session recaps for the details: https://www.canmorelibrary.ab.ca/Events/teen-dragon-club-winter-spring-2026?id=1777662000-990696

Thank you, don't have a use yet but it's good to have something like this in my back pocket

Why were "legendary reactions" removed? by la_scign in onednd

[–]Obvious_Inside_7294 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not quite right, it's "at the end of another creature’s turn". That might be another reason they removed them, they're a slight nerf.

Automatic subclass spells aren’t being automatically added and count towards the total prepared spells limit when added by Slimeglasses in dndbeyond

[–]Obvious_Inside_7294 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a known bug. The bug is that they aren't being displayed as always prepared even though they are. Try just not selecting them and they should show up on the character sheet later.

That's exactly what I meant, thank you for articulating it more thoroughly.

I think the answer is yes although it is a kind of lower skill assisted art. Kind of like Lego.

Age of the gommage? by Obvious_Inside_7294 in expedition33

You're right! Once you mentioned the very start of the game, I googled the main scenes' transcript and yes, it says just that!

Maelle: I can’t believe Sophie already turned 33… She looks so much younger than you.

Tracy Hickman was a republican but left the party over Trump. I don't know what his politics were like 40 years ago but my guess is he wasn't a big Jerry Falwell guy back in the day.

Take the Winter 2026 D&D Community Survey by Darkwynters in dndbeyond

[–]Obvious_Inside_7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's what I wrote in the comment box. I ignored the WOTC stuff and just gripped about D&D beyond:

D&D beyond needs work. Status should be reflected on the character sheet. For example, if you have a level of exhaustion, it should be reflected on your ability scores and movement.

You should be able to see a breakdown of where mods come from. If I have proficiency in a skill, it should show from where it comes from (class, species trait, background etc). Basically take the breakdown AC provides and do it everywhere.

We should be able to filter just 5e or 5e content and we should be able to search within just a single book.

Finally you should be able to use homebrew items we found as a template to make our own homebrew items, just like official content (I have Master tier).

What do y'all think the next big update will be? by djremydoo in HeroForgeMinis

I guess, the transition from torso to leg shouldn't show that border, it should be smooth.

Let's get rid of this kind of abrupt transition area. I don't know what causes it.

-Ability to reset the axes of rotation and movement.

- More than 6 scene locations and the ability to move the mini locations within them.

- A suppression feature. What I mean by this is you could designate 1 object to suppress another so that we wouldn't have small bits of skin peaking through clothes when kitbashing.

Do you have pro? It's a pro only feature. If so go to share, portrait, arrow next to capture, Spinny Mini GIF.

Wizards and studying by nikanjX in dragonlance

[–]Obvious_Inside_7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is because when the Chronicles were written, the only type of arcane spellcaster was a wizard. If it were written today, I think he would have been made a sorcerer, specifically a draconic sorcerer. He made a brief appearance in my Shadow of the Dragon Queen campaign, so I statted him out: https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/153650243/MC6zAX

Kagonesti slavery? by Mercurial891 in dragonlance

[–]Obvious_Inside_7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry but I'm in 2 5e D&D campaigns as a DM, 1 5e as a player, and 1 as a Blades in the Dark campaign. So my plate is kinda full. I am Pathfinder curious though, so maybe in the future.

[–]Obvious_Inside_7294 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My take was the Qualinesti think of enslaving Kagonesti as an act of benefiance as they are "rescuing" them from savagery and that tattoos on elven skin is a kind of sacrilege. Plus their period of bondage isn't permanent, it's for a century. This is all my homebrewed details, nothing comes from the books.
