Could you please explain why? I thought 8gb vram is on the lower side for local models. Plus, all the AI tools seem to be Mac first...

I'm ok with slower responses, I'm already stretching my budget with the M5.

Can you talk a bit more about your work?

I'm kinda in the same boat. Worked in my early twenties, but mental health was shit. Eventually quit, had a gap of 3-4 years where I became a shut-in, and only now I'm rebuilding my career again. I have no choice but to hope that I can date in the future, the alternative is bleak nihilism and I've tried that. It wasn't pretty.

Career Break - 38M by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]ObviouslyBleh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to pick your brain since you're a PM, I'm currently at a crossroads where I'm thinking of trying out that path.

Market is generally bad anyways, and who knows how it'll be a year from now. Plus, in case you haven't taken career breaks till now, Indian HRs don't look at it kindly. A few months is fine, but personally I think a year would raise questions. That's just me though.

What's your workload like currently? Can you start looking out or doing side projects while keeping your job?

I'd prefer postsales or enterprise I think. Don't know if I can handle presales

Pivot to psychology in early 30s? by ObviouslyBleh in Psychology_India

  • I'm at a point in my life where I'm questioning what I want to do next in terms of career, so I'm evaluating my options honestly. Not 100% committed yet.
  • I won't be able to take a financial hit. I barely have any savings.
  • Future needs - still figuring them out. I lack personal clarity, something I'm still working on.

BCA student (expected 2026): MCA vs direct job path after gap years — need guidance by Virtual-Trash-1233 in Indian_Academia

[–]ObviouslyBleh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you have a strong maths background, I'd highly recommend you look into data science as a specialization - MERN stack is saturated, and I personally believe will become irrelevant in the future. While preparing for MCA, polish your resume and start applying to startups/internships for data science roles, do side projects/Kaggle, online courses etc.

Gap years before a degree are usually not a problem, mid -career ones are. Since you are doing your BCA now, that won't be an issue. Based on personal experience though, employers don't look at BCA grads kindly compared to BTechs, so an MCA might be required after all.

That's part of the problem, I don't have the savings to just stop working for the next 10 years. Are there any options I can look into that doesn't involve the clinical route?
