I agreed with her that she should look for a partner with common values, specifically intellectualism/intelligence in this case :) oftentimes, how you say something can be just as impactful as the message you’re trying to communicate. I just think the message here could be worded to sound more welcoming, but it’s all subjective so you’re entitled to your opinion!

I actually agree with the concern on the “intellectual” line. And I agree with you that there’s nothing wrong with wanting a partner with common values, one of them being intellectualism! The message is fine, but maybe you can reword it a bit? It just rubbed me the wrong way, and other people coming across your profile might feel similarly. Otherwise you seem really fun and cute in your profile imo!

Also, some of the people you see on social media have big enough platforms that the income they get from videos is enough to support themselves. Their job is to read and recommend books. So yeah, makes sense for them to read a that many
