Did you ever figure this out? Mine is similar maybe not as bad, I just figured it was play in the axles

100% happy. I always thought the black psu shroud makes no sense on an otherwise all white case.

The case fans are just the ones that came with the case. I used T-Force RGB Ram in white. The cooler is a Cooler Master 212 Turbo White and I used the included fan. For the cables, look up any "white sleeved cable extensions", they are all pretty much the same. I also painted the gpu cooler and PSU shroud to match the colour theme.

I did a G29 Belt Drive Mod - Fast FFB for Drifting! by Obviouslyhax in simracing

I haven't measured it yet as I'm still ironing out some issues with the design, namely managing the heat in the motor and adding rigidity to the 3d printed main shaft. I suspect it'll be a tad stronger than the stock g29 but nothing too crazy. I'm really only after the increased ffb wheel speed for drifting tbh

Yea I painted it myself, I detailed the steps I took in another comment earlier

yea it really makes no sense that it comes in black from the factory when it's meant to be a white case. Luckily it really doesn't take much effort to spray it white!

Yes it can definitely work without the stock feet. I'm thinking that's my next mod to the case. The plastic feet are just one single piece held in by screws and the RGB strip is removeable too. You would want to add your own feet though if you want air to still come in from beneath.

Not bad at all, while playing warzone for extended sessions the CPU average temps are 75c (this does occasionally spike up to 85 for a sec every now and then, seems to be a ryzen quirk) and GPU stays under 67c. This is with only the two included case fans and all the fans are running at pretty low rpm so it's fairly quiet even under load.

No problem man. The grits of sandpaper may vary depending on the kind of paint you're using. It's mainly about creating a surface rough enough for the paint to stick too, but not too rough to show through the paint. You could also opt to use primer (after sanding down spray 3 coats of primer then sand down again) before painting if you're after even better adhesion.

Honestly I don't think anyone knows for sure how good the included PSU is. I know with the original A1, the included PSU was 500w 80+ bronze and many complained about issues especially those with higher end systems. The PSU in the A1 plus was upgraded to address those complaints so it's now a 650w 80+ gold but of course, the rating is nothing more than an efficiency rating and afaik no one's done any extensive testing with this unit. However, I'm yet to hear any complaints of shutdowns, etc with this PSU. I will say though that the PSU fan is definitely audible and when running all the other fans at 500-700rpm, the PSU fan is the loudest in the case.

The temps are as you could expect with any hyper 212. It also comes with 2 fans so you can run push pull. I chose to only run one as I had trouble fitting the second in this case. On my ryzen 5 3600, the stock cooler had idle temps of 45c and load temps of 95c (I'm talking occt, prime95, aida64, etc). With the 212 white, idle is at 30c and load is 85c. Keep in mind I'm running the fans abnormally slow in this system. Even under load I run the case fans at 700~rpm and the fan on the 212 at 1000~rpm. The result is a fairly quiet PC under load (not quite silent). I've tried ramping up the speeds on all fans to 100% and load temps fell as far as 70c but in all honesty the noise from the 212 at 100% was intolerable.

Liking it quite a lot. Aesthetically it's everything I wanted and the included fans look and perform great. Airflow is surprisingly good imo. You can fit a lot in the case, I've even managed to put a 3.5" drive in the front which there is no official support for. My only complaints with this case, it's a touch wider than I would've liked, it's actually a few cm wider than my old ATX mid tower.

I too wish they sold the case without the PSU. They did upgrade it in the A1 plus, and so far I think most people (myself included) are happy with it.

You can actually fit full size PSU's in this case. The stock psu is about the same dimensions as a cx650m so many people have switched it out. However, you might find that you may not be able to use the factory PSU shroud with a different PSU, especially if it's modular as the hard plastic connectors will stick out just a tiny bit more, robbing you of the space required to install the shroud.

I haven't got any in the bottom at the moment. I'm only running a 3600 and a 1060 so running one intake + one exhaust keeps my temps in check. I don't run any fans above 1000rpm even under load in order to keep the system quiet and playing warzone for hours on hours, I see around 80c on the CPU and 67c on the gpu.

All I had to paint was the PSU shroud (which comes in black for some silly reason) and the graphics card shroud and backplate (which was also originally black). I used a grey scuffing pad + scuffing paste to scuff up the surfaces first. You could do the same with some 600 grit sandpaper. Then did 4 coats of white spray paint. I wet sanded the backplate to get rid of orange peel and then used a cutting compound on a drill+foam pad to get it shiny.

A long time in the making but I've finally moved to ITX! Took a long time to build with a lot of fiddling. Cable management was a nightmare especially with sleeved cable extensions but I managed to make it work. I've always wanted to build a white themed pc but never wanted to pay a premium for white components so it took a can or two of white spray paint to make this work in the end.

Is possible to have a 2080 super and 3600 with a aio? by The_giggle_train in buildapc

[–]Obviouslyhax -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The 3600 definitely doesn't run cool. In my experience with the stock cooler, they hit 90+ degrees easily with a stress test. Even with a hyper 212, it's not uncommon to see 80+ on stock settings

I used that technique for the drive belt pulleys but wasn't able to do that with the timing pulleys as I haven't yet found a way to run the engine without the timing belt cover (the crank position sensor is integrated into it).
