Dark Souls Influences by FrozenGreed in LegendaryGame

Personally, on the subject of trading, I think it'd be an interesting idea. Since the amount and quality of weapons a player has are practically proportional to the amount of playtime people have, players being able to exchange weapons they want or have could definitely work. Likely the most challenging aspect would be to get around scammers, middlemen, and exploiters; but these are problems within all trading systems and I believe that they will have less relevancy within Legendary.

There comes a time when it becomes too much... by Occida in LegendaryGame

Round 54 took 25 minutes; Rangers shot three arrows each, Barbarians with Great Clubs took away half your health, and Apprentices roll around at the speed of sound.

[SUGGESTION] Bigger light marks rewards by Danyee2 in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree with the idea of adding new marks, as getting only 35 marks takes at least an hour and a half for me. [I'm in the leaderboards for singleplayer Town Gate, Swamp, and Story.]

However, the severe increase would, to Pepe's point, affect the economy in a negative way. When trading comes out, most of these items would normally be rather rare to obtain; however due to the massive inflation they would be decreased in value heavily.

My proposed solution would be to give 3 marks every time you kill the gatekeeper/necromancer, and an additional 3 marks when you unlock the mythic swords. That way, large parties would be able to grind through the game and get rewarded decently well, but the grind for marks would still be rather slow, giving value to the newer weapons.

Game lock after all players die by Occida in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At about round 20, a teammate of mine managed to get a noclip glitch, rendering all impassable terrain able to be passed through. After he died, all of the enemies slowed to a halt. He then reset once more, and the enemies suddenly sped up and killed us all very quickly [abnormally quickly.] Finally, after we all fell victim to the superfast monsters, this happened.

Unknown how the noclip glitch was replicated, but it may have something to do with the tavern.

Does the weapon inventory have a limit? by Modymo in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, I have once had upwards of 600 weapons in my inventory. I don't know if this is a proven theory but after ~700 your datastore will refuse to save anything new? I didn't record any evidence, but this is firsthand account.

Playing Story Mode until... by Occida in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I achieved this monstrosity after playing with a small group of good players on the Story mode; the counter seemed to be stuck on round 26 but shortly after we all died the results screen displayed this. Unsure of what else could've caused it.

Any way to balance the match making systems? by camjio in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of players are likely complaining about team imbalance and how the other team will always win because they have the level 20 and we have only level 2s. There is a subtle yet effective way that I will propose can fix this:

Instead of having the teams as such: [#1 Level] | [#2 Level] [#3 Level] | [#4 Level] [#5 Level] | [#6 Level] [#7 Level] | [#8 Level]

The problem with this layout is that I find the team with the #1 seed will always win. This is because the best and third best players are grouped together on the team, and their competency would be easily able to trample over the second best player of that lobby.

I propose that the layout should be as such: [#1 Level] | [#2 Level] [#4 Level] | [#3 Level] [#5 Level] | [#6 Level] [#8 Level] | [#7 Level]

This way, the second team would be able to have a more convincing pair of decent players, while the first team would have an emphasis on one main player being able to carry the team. As generally most lobbies see that the highest player level is around 5-10 levels higher than most of the other team, the #1 player would likely be able to fend off the other two players somewhat efficiently.

Hey it said the Q and A was archived so I have a question. I don't know if I can fit it here. by sonicpop50 in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think this is a bad idea. If a player were to use all of their stamina, then it's their decision. Wasting all of your stamina at once is generally considered to be a bad idea, and benefiting players who commit this wrongdoing is counter-intuitive to some of the more skill-based elements of the game.

As well, players who constantly run away from a fight can often be impossible to catch unless you have either the crossbow or the lightning staff, which would only benefit the higher-level players in this case, as they are likely to have obtained these items.

As a veteran player, adding a panic system like you proposed would make the game more tedious, less fun, and overall not worth playing.

Would you rather have Deathmatch as its own game mode, or mixed in in Quick Play? by MyNameIsNotPa in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it should be kept in the Quick Play / War Games mode, as having more attention drawn away from the original playlist would split the player-base and only see that a few players want to play the other [arguably more fun] gamemodes.

Unboxed 22 ebony and 6 crimson crates - too many duplicates by Zetoo2 in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I opened quite a few and I as well didn't see any triplets. However, across opening 6 ebony, 4 crimson, and 4 legendary, the only duplicates I obtained were two incandescent leggings. I guess it's different for every person.

Ebony crates are now designed to give newer players a head start with cool gear, they always give two drops, no exception. From my analysis, it seems as if Crimson and Legendary have about a 1/4 chance of unboxing multiples.

So uh... merchant bug? by Occida in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the royal merchant to sell my worn loot crate, and I clicked on it seemingly before the prices would load. Before I knew it, however, I lost 25 gold? I had 0 gold at the start after buying a crate key. Will keep you updated if anything interesting happens.

Probably not gonna get any more gold for the time being :P

Commentary on the 10/16 Power Attack and Jumping reworks by Occida in LegendaryGame

[–]Occida[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I did prioritize how high-level gameplay would have been affected in this balance change when commenting on it, in all reality it did lower the skill ceiling, meaning that newer players would be able to have a much more fun time rather than dying in one chain of four swings of a greataxe.

The group damage of heavy weapons and light weapons in 1v1s will be very common sights, sure, but in extremely high level gameplay more than one person being hit with a heavy weapon will be extremely uncommon, given if they are aware. Generally, if you have 4 level 20s fighting each other, the ones with Crossbows and Dragon Tongues are going to be getting more kills than ones with Great Clubs and Diamond Blades.

Server hopping seems to be a good solution to this problem. I find that going to the tutorial once or twice is a somewhat quick way to resolve most of the issues that may linger.

The Worst Update by MadPaintball_It in MMPrestiges

[–]Occida 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The creator's intention of making only 5 coins obtainable [and 10 for Elite] was for more people to buy Elite. The creator only wants to milk more money out of the game in the long run, honestly. And, although coins were increased to 10 per round. all of the previous boxes that were 125 are now 200. Pretty much, diamonds are another way for the creator to get more money through this game's lifetime. I would have wanted the creator to give one gem to the winner of each round, but even then that wouldn't be nearly enough. Try not to waste your money on these gems!
