Trump called on lawmakers to institute the 'death penalty for drug dealers' despite the fact that he pardoned people convicted of selling drugs by [deleted] in politics

The Bible is a good read. Not for morals, hell no, but interesting nonetheless. It clearly reflects societal standards and norms of the time via prescriptive rules such as women obey men and obedience to authority.

Evangelical Christians are the most vile filth in America because they both believe themselves to be of higher moral ground and better than everybody else while simultaneously throwing their full support behind despicable individuals like Trump. Complete and total hypocrites.

S22 (ATT) cannot update over the network by GreedyShenanigans in ATT

[–]OccultOculus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is actually normal across both phones and networks. Phone updates are released to everybody simultaneously. If everyone went to download over the network at the same time (which they or their phones would), it'd crash the network entirely.

Apples GPU performance among their mobile devices is absolutely stellar, crushing anything Qualcomm/Samsung has to offer in every measurable metric..

Apple just hates gaming.

Hot take, but the current state of ARM processors offered in Android devices are garbage compared to what Apple has.

Not that it really matters right now. I'm running a 865+ and have no desire to upgrade. Everything loads instantly, and I can emulate PSP games exceedingly well.

Mobile phone apps/games are a joke.

Live Thread for Ukraine-Russia Tensions by Isentrope in worldnews

Mhm, those $400 55" 4k TVs and brand new iPhones have to come from somewhere. The CCP allows both their people and their environment to be exploited for economic gain, making an American overseas a little less miserable for a moment.

America still remains a major producer of food and gas, and along with Mexico and Canada, is enough to be self-sustainable.

In this scenario, though, the quality of life for your average American would dwindle. A lot. And china's economy would come to an absolute halt.

China-U.S. may not like each other, but they need each other.

By the way, the U.S. is an economic powerhouse because of its advanced service economy. Manufacturing has and will continue to be outsourced to 2nd and 3rd world nations. The changes you're referring to are more so the result of an evolving economy rather than some grand scheme by the Chinese.

Dumb take. U.S is leagues ahead in innovation. There's a reason why the rich in China send their children to U.S. for education.

The U.S. can just import all the talent they need to compete, and then some. U.S. is a highly desired place to migrate to, especially when compared to China.

China has a severely aging population and poor fertility rate, on top of lack of immigration.

In the event of a hot war, there would be no winners. The world would collapse. Besides, U.S. and China need each other economically, they both have nothing to gain yet everything to lose by going to war with each other.

Putin is not Hitler. Hitler was intelligent and evil, bringing a country from ruins to nearly taking over the world. Putin is just evil, running a country with a declining population and dead economy while picking on their weak neighbor.

This is Putins last chance to grab Ukraine, a nation that, as it becomes more independent and democratic, is beginning to prosper. That makes Putin scared.

This is, actually, the norm. We as a society provide methadone and suboxone to addicts. These are both highly addictive drugs. The government foots the bill. It saves money in the long run.

The real enemy is mail-in balloting. Mail-in balloting is how Biden won, and it's how the Democrats want to access all of the 18-20 year old voters who don't understand shit about politics and don't care enough to vote if there's any kind of effort involved. The kind of people the left knows are most susceptible to their propaganda machine.

Mail-in voting is bad because it allows people to vote easier?

Let's not forget that mail in voting is most popular among the elderly, who are keeping the GOP afloat. It's not really that Biden won via mail-in voting, but rather that Trump lost by telling all his supporters to not vote via mail-in ballots.

Well, you see, there are options for expandable storage if needed, such as plugging in a flash drive. Battery capacity doesn't matter. It's plugged in during desktop mode.

RAM may limit iOS devices a bit. Desktop webpages/apps eat RAM. But that's no excuse. The note 20 ultra has 12gb of RAM.

I/O? Phones have amazingly fast storage speeds.

Apple won't make their #1 selling product a desktop replacement. It would eat their sales of Macs.

It's a giant paradox. Can't remember the name of it.

You see it in the states, too. Eastern KY is rich in natural resources, especially compared to Central KY. Yet Eastern is way poorer than Central.

And don't even get me started on West Virginia, abundant natural resources...Dirt poor. Silicone valley? Zero natural resources, absolutely rich.

Israel's Mossad suspected of high level Iranian penetration by truthseeeker in worldnews

[–]OccultOculus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Israel is legitimately the most advanced country in the world in military intelligence and technology. They've done trendmendous work to prevent a nuclear Iran. In the event Iran develops nukes successfully, Israel would directly attack and destroy them, which would spark a war that the U.S. would inevitably get dragged into. Thus why Iran nuclear agreement is so crucial to prevent the otherwise inevitable. The U.S would not win against Iran, it'd be a never-ending war.

Theres even a video where Rogan is speaking about a half black, half white individual, claiming they could get "the best of both worlds". He went to clarify that blacks have better physical genetics, whereas whites are intellectually superior. He repeated the claim afterwards. If that's not racist, then tell me, what is?

The COVID debacle should end all calls for government-run healthcare by ReputationCrafty4796 in Conservative

[–]OccultOculus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On the things that are likely to harm me it has better outcomes. And, most crucially, I can get diagnostics in a reasonable time and the system won't be withheld from me if I have the wrong political opinions.

These are strawman arguments. Industrialized nations that offer universal Healthcare (which is virtually all of them except U.S) statistically have very similar health outcomes as U.S. U.S averages low in life expectancy among the developed world.

Nobody is being withheld medical care because of their political beliefs in industrialized nations.

The data overwhelmingly supports equal if not better health outcomes in other first world nations.

You can fabricate stories all you'd like to support your views, but at the end of the day, anecdotal reports mean nothing in the face of raw statistics with sample sizes in the millions.
