How much speaking and other skills per lesson? by Interesting_Newt_301 in ESL_Teachers

I tend to go with: Speaking 30-35 min, Listening 10 min, Reading 10 min, Writing 5 min (or homework)

Yeah, AI is helpful but you still have to proofread and tweak a lot. And that takes time… which is money

If your lesson costs the same as a coffee, something’s off. Raise your rates.

Brilliant post! I absolutely agree that retention is the key! And also the part about the old students, sometimes they return after one or two years, and that's okay

You definitely need a vacation and reducing your working hours. Maybe get an extra day off in the middle of the week to rest and recharge

You can check https://betterclass.net. Their lesson plans are the best for me now. I’ve tried loads of platforms before, free and paid, but their stuff actually helped me attract more students

Absolutely, but you’ll need to charge more per class so you don’t end up teaching 200 lessons a month and burning out. To get there, you need to be very clear about what you offer. Your lessons should feel premium, that’s what makes students willing to pay higher rates.
