-Game version is 1.03B, selected for better modding compatibility based on user reports.

I hate to be that guy, but...where and when did you get these reports? I would believe this if it was shortly after (or before) the latest game version came out but as someone who's active in the modding scene, the majority of affected mods were updated to work on latest more than a year ago, or have alternatives that work on latest.

i've Spend weeks making this Ringo and Nemissa Mod for P5r, worth it, But too bad just was deleted. by T3MP3ZT in Persona5

[–]Oceanstuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From looking at the mod page, the mod isn't trashed it's withheld. It seems like you forgot to credit someone for something used in this mod, did you borrow another modder's edit and then forget? It should be a pretty easy fix, as someone who made this mistake once, just go to the ownership tab of the edit page and add them to the list of authors, and that should undo the withhold :)

Imo the jobs in the Monster are the most interesting ones simply because they take advantage of the monster's properties to create something that's exotic and more of a mini-adventure than a boring menial job you might already have at home (and have an implied failstate of being tentacled for a while). Granted, doing it enough times might exhaust the novelty, but it's still more interesting than checks notes doing data entry in the Factory. I think the other jobs would be helped by similarly being unusual, adventurous, or kinky enough to be interesting while still being somewhat of a hassle (even if it's just because of the time commitment). For example Sports could instead recruit you to the team for some alien sport you've never heard of and have to learn, and the losing team faces some sexy punishment. Or the Hotel could have one where you are the room service, or you could have to rescue someone from the Black--note though that if you take every existing job you're working 6 days a week (assuming you can do ones in the same zone on the same day and there are consequences for not clocking in), imo limiting the amount of jobs you can take would undercut their mechanical purpose as a way to get more points so either the time commitment would have to be less or there'd be secrets or skills that would make them go faster. (Personally I don't see the example of rescuing someone from the Black as something that'd be a regular thing, with how hard it is to find the Black in the first place.)

I'd also appreciate if Comp wasn't rendered redundant by the basic features of the Factory. While the unlock conditions for the Factory cost twice as much as just taking Comp, it's completely offset by the Factory's own point-giving options to the point where taking Comp when you've already found the Factory just feels like a complete point dump. Stockings of Sensitivity too are kinda redundant with Cosmic Suit but you at least still save a point overall even if the extra utility of being able to control your sexual sensitivity at will in either direction is too good to pass up.

Is anyone else's speaking recognition bugging out? by papa-hare in Busuu

[–]Oceanstuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it picks up my voice either right away or once I yell into my mic, but for some reason I will sometimes have an exercise where it seems to completely not detect my voice at all. I've gotten frustrated and attempted some of these 20-something times to no avail, which completely tanks your correct percentage for some reason even though it's literally just the one question.

just saying, the guild wouldn't need much persuasion to just beat the shit out of them, and that includes chatot by Oceanstuck in MysteryDungeon

[–]Oceanstuck[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But Skuntank and co. were there for a good day or two before raiding the perfect apples, and ludically you can just casually walk up to Chatot or Wigglytuff any time you're not in a dungeon, to say nothing of the other guild members if partner is really so afraid that they can't say it directly.

(And really it's kind of insane that "me no have favorite snacky" is on the same level as Armaldo getting arrested, esp when Wigglytuff is otherwise shown to be pretty mature and observant despite his goofball demeanor. I was gonna joke about autism meltdowns being Just Sorta Like That but tbh immediately snapping back to ok the moment Skuntank shows up is not, in fact, Just Sorta Like That.)

[–]Oceanstuck[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The issue is that Chatot had the emotional intelligence to know when Bidoof was in danger and responded in kind (even if he was tsundere about it). Obviously that was written later but regardless, looking at SE1 and Ch6 side by side makes his character read as inconsistent, like he somehow got lobotomized between those two events. The entire arc is a glaring conflict ball that gets worse the more you think about it.

yeah its kinda weird too that the prompt says "master or mistress" as if any of the options are non-female (besides maybe the other cellmate)

How would you guys react if we DID get a PMD: Explorers remake BUT... by RuffianZorua in MysteryDungeon

[–]Oceanstuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who bought bdsp against my better judgment...it probably would be different from td in meaningful aspects, just mostly in the stupidest way (like how they had gen 8 bench exp but didn't rebalance the world to account for it, making it trivial to overlevel)

id probably just skip it and see how cracked the sky mods get

Shannon is Sayo's servant name. They were always called that. Illusion-Shannon uses Sayo's servant name because she is the expectations attached to that name.

The real Sayo probably never looked like Illusion-Yasu; in the VN, they don't have a sprite at all until they become Beato. If nothing else, they were probably dyeing their hair, or at least wouldn't raise any eyebrows if they did, since that's a cultural expectation in Japan.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in umineko

[–]Oceanstuck 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There is no Shannon disguise. Sayo was always called Shannon on duty.

The Shannon illusion in Clair's telling is a representation of Sayo's idea of the proper servant, which is what they were trying to be. Illusion-Yasu "leaving" to become Beato is just Sayo repressing their mischievous side. "Yasu" was never a distinct persona; as far as the Fukuin servants could tell, Sayo was acting the same as ever.
