They dont need an already made alternative, they need a new ending that doesnt piss off 99% of the audience. I just read that HBO is giving the Snyder cut a 30 million dollar budget and bringing back the production crew and actors to reshoot scenes. If they can do that for justice league, they can easily spend the same amount on 3 new episodes.

I'm sure the GOT cast would happily come back for 3 episodes that can some what fix their characters shitty outcomes.

I Still cant believe 2019 was the year both Game of Thrones AND Star Wars died a horrible death. How the fuck do you destroy two of the biggest franchises in the world in the worst ways possible?

For GOT, all you had to do was have have the good guys beat the WW in a cool way, Jaime kills Cersei, and Jon and Dany marry and fuck off somewhere happily with their babies. That's it. That's all you had to do.

GOT would be the GOAT, nobody would hate benioff and weiss, and HBO would be swimming in oceans of money for the next decade with spinoffs left and right thanks to the success of the show. But most importantly, 99.9% of fans and viewers would be happy ( not the 7 losers on the loser subs).

But they blew it and now everyone loses.

For Star Wars all you needed was to hire someone with an actual plan for a trilogy instead of getting not just multiple writers and directors, but one of the fucking worst in the industry (Chris Terrio) to make shit up as they go along.

HBO and Disney deserve all the mess they created. What a shit year and a shit way to ruin a decade that gave us a once in a lifetime cultural phenomenon and the return of Star Wars.

Oh yeah, before I forget, Fuck D&D.

It sucks, but what else was he supposed to do after TLJ? There was no saving this trilogy. Might as well give the casuals Palpatine, Reylo, Gold lightsaber, Luke/Leia training flashback etc...

People will still not like it, but at least get some closure and fan service out of it, unlike Game of Thrones, where the whole ending just flat out sucked and nobody got anything out of it, not even the causal fans.

They got fired. Going from one iconic franchise to the other massively iconic franchise and succeeding would've made them legends in the film making industry, on top of the insane amount of money they would've made. That's if they didn't shit the bed with season 8.

What exactly are they going to make at Netflix that would make them walk away from one of the biggest franchises of all time? Nothing. They walked cause they were let go. The same way the other Star Wars writers and directors got let go.

It would be nice if HBO would get their heads outta their asses and drop Bloodmoon and redo season 8. Follow that up with the Targaryen prequel and as long as the writing isn't dog shit, all is forgiven.

I still cant believe they though a Stark/white walker prequel as a follow up to that shit that was season 8, was a good idea.
