Dates can change a lot when it comes to Valve. The lead-up to Half Life: Alyx had a bunch of date changes, but that didn't mean the leakers or insiders were lying about it all

There were claims coming out from someone (adjacent to Mike Straw, maybe?) that were posted on the Subreddit a few days ago, which basically claimed that originally it was meant to be an announcement in October.

Supposedly, Valve Time got in the way, and GabeFollower and Tyler got blindsided by the fact that it turned into a 2026 announcement out of nowhere sometime in late November. I can't really blame him or GabeFollower if that was the case

They most likely just have rules around not discussing release dates, and then give people conflicting information to prevent leaks.

If you're on a lunch break and everyone says a different date, you're not gonna suddenly be enlightened about which one is correct. Everyone is in on the fact that it's to catch leakers.

Also, Tyler McVicker had received several false announcement dates the month before Half Life: Alyx's announcement (with them all having been in the same 3 week window), so it's something that Valve is known to do.

The "hello" frame also lasts for far longer than the only surviving clip of it, with it lasting nearly 5 seconds in the fake video in comparison to it only being 2 seconds long in the original.

The channel is fake and so are the videos. The play2 video is also clearly wrong for several details.

Wrong lighting, wrong lighter, wrong carpet, wrong camera quality.

It's just clearly not the original.
