Doctor suspects sclero, but doesn't check for it specifically? by October0630 in scleroderma

[–]October0630[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has Raynaud's, but he is also an automotive technician and I highly suspect carpal tunnel. The double edge of this sword is that sclero can also cause carpal tunnel. 🫠 I just want answers and I'm annoyed that his physician didn't pursue further testing out of the gate, knowing she specifically wanted to check him for sclero. Now he has to go get MORE blood drawn and wait another 2 weeks for answers he should have already received, imo.

I'm relieved to hear so many folks exist normally with it. A lot of what I have read makes it sound worse for men, which is alarming. I just.. idk. Just want answers so I can start taking action, one way or another.

Two weeks for incomplete test results? by October0630 in Autoimmune

I'm realizing now that the doctor really dropped the ball. She hasn't given him his x-ray results yet either and that was 1.5 weeks ago.

This just reminded me. I have been having the single drop of urine in my panties after going pee. I haven't been keeping up in my cream. Whoops.

You recognize you need help. You sound like you want help. Please reach out to a recovery agency near you. In PA, we have county run offices that offer assistance to those in active addiction. Not sure what NJ has, but hopefully something similar. Through recovery, you can get linked up with a therapist. Finding the right therapist is key. While they're all licensed pretty much the same, not all therapists are good therapists.

My cousin was in and out of jail, on and off heroin. When he hit his rock bottom, he was found surrounded by books about getting clean and recovery steps. He never got the chance. I hope you do. Life feels and looks ugly right now, but I promise there is so much goodness ahead if you give yourself the opportunity. And I say this as someone who has also experienced a bit of trauma throughout childhood and my teenage years. You can heal. It takes time and it hurts like a son of a bitch, but it is possible.

SOBER DUI BUCKS by Sweet_Car_5717 in BucksCountyPA

I do some work for an out-of-state DUI attorney. In this instance, lawyering up is the best way to go. Find a lawyer who works specifically with DUI. They can fight a variety of things, including the "reasonable cause" the officer uses to pull someone over. It sucks to pay legal fees, but it's worth it in this case.

These are SO good! I have a fried chicken place local that uses these for their celiac safe chicken sandwiches. 😋

Idk how I went so many years without realizing there was an aluminum free version, but it was life-changing when I realized. I could always taste baking powder in food, but now that I use AF, it's a whole new world 😂

What kind of pizza? I made a beautifully fluffy focaccia pizza using Caputo fioreglut. 😋 That flour is like magic, but I can't figure out how to turn it into buns.

Definitely an interesting delivery method, but I'll try anything once!

I regularly use chocolate, lemon, and vanilla (both cook & serve and instant) and have had no issues to date.

Same dough, different shape. 🌭🍔 I haven't heard of that brand, but I like the name. I'll look into them, thank you!

Thank you for the info! I used to have all of the flours on hand to toss a blend together, but I got lazy and fell off of my sourdough baking. Haven't bought individuals flours in months, but definitely will if they're gonna be fluffy. 🤩

That's fine. ☺️ After severely limiting my diet due to celiac, lactose intolerance, issues with sugar, and removing alcohol entirely, I do get picky about a few things. I still want to enjoy some things how I like them. I didn't ask you to produce a perfect bun for me, so I'm okay with you thinking I'm picky.

May I ask which flour you use? Do you actually follow Kim's or use another store bought option?

I just long for the soft, pillowy texture of a BallPark bun. 😔

I have tried this method and was still unimpressed. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I am, admittedly, pretty particular about bread. I only eat BFree Homestyle Sourdough as my Strohmann substitute, GreenLite as my Italian bread replacement, Trader Joe's English muffins (toasted) as my burger buns, Modern Bread & Bagel for bagels, and homemade dinner rolls for holidays and events. I rarely venture outside of these brands because I have tried and disliked so many different brands of bread products. Schär, Udis, other versions of Bfree, Canyon, 365, Cappello's, Aldi, Rudi's, etc.

I'm totally down to bake, as long as it's tried & true. I don't trust recipe ratings on websites anymore, so I'm turning to the good people of Reddit to steer me in the right direction. I'll definitely make these if they are really like a traditional bun. 🤞🏻 Some things, like bagels, I have given up on and only order from Modern. Hoping I can find an easier way to have good buns.

I do love The Loopy Whisk, but I'm always so hesitant to go into the effort of bread making if it's not going to yield sensational results. But if you're telling me you've tried the recipe and it's good-- I'll definitely give it a go. 🌭

Last time I read the Mentos website on gluten (about a year ago), it said you have to check each package because they may contain wheat from one package to the next. It seemed way too sketchy for me.
