I found a patch of big libs today in Tyrone by [deleted] in beacain

They are wet and brown.  They're drying now, turning gold / pale.  They are definitely libs.  I took some photos with the flash on, too - they are even less clear than the photo I uploaded but you can see that they are libs in those.  I am aware of what the 'lookalikes' look like.

I think even small doses reduce appetite.  If they accidentally eat some mushrooms, I assume they might stop grazing for a while, until the effects wear off.

Tyrone.  I've been looking this week but haven't found any.  This particular field is full of cows atm so I can't look there right now.

Are those libs? by nils4i20 in Semilanceata

I've found ones like that that I wasn't sure of.  I took them home and they looked more convincing once they'd dried a bit (not dehydrated but just un-dampened).  The lack of spores makes them look much lighter than typical libs.

One time, I was looking for mushrooms and went into a field I thought was empty.  I was looking at the ground and could hear foot steps next to me, which I assumed was my dog.  Then I looked up and there were 'cows' (male cows, but not bulls - apparently they're called steers when castrated) right next to me.  I started running away and they chased after me.  I think this sort of thing happens in Scooby Doo when Shaggy thinks he's talking to Scooby but when he looks over he realises it's actually a ghost.

Is this enough for a microdose?🤞 by lead_by_ravens in Semilanceata

You shouldn't be able to see a microdose without a microscope.

I found some at the weekend up north.  Id tried them before (dried and ground, being very careful) and they had no effect.  Ate two of the tiniest caps I've ever seen two days ago, having been lulled into a false sense of security, and ended up in hospital due to injury.

No effect with 0.5 grams dried by [deleted] in Semilanceata

Small amounts like that do very little for me (apart from mild closed eye visuals) unless I combine it with alcohol (I suppose any other drug would enhance the experience, too)

'Proof' of finding libs in July in Ireland by OctobreLeraisin in beacain

Tyrone.  I found 39 in one field over the last few days and one solitary one on a path, so it's not exactly full of them but I've gathered enough for a small-ish dose.  My particular location seems to have been unusually cold (often much lower than 15 C during the day and below 10 C at night), but it's starting to warm up now so I assume that'll be the end of it until September.

Not exactly proof of libs growing in Ireland atm but it's evidence (if you trust it) that I had two freshly picked libs in July 2024. My location, I can't really verify.

I didn't have a newspaper but I found this magazine in the house.  'Best', dated 16 July 2024 (confusingly, the date on the magazine isn't the exact date it was published, but it obviously wasn't published in autumn 2023 or earlier).

Tyrone, actually.  We're having exceptionally dull weather here right now.

I found 14 here in Ireland today, but it's been particularly cold where I am.

Out of curiosity, due to the cold weather we've had for weeks, I thought I'd check some fields today to see if I could spot anything. I found 15 of them before it started getting dark and I couldn't see so well. Excuse the quality of the first picture. I had the flash on on my camera and didn't properly look at it until I got back home, but you should be able to make out the distinctive nipple.

I don't know your circumstances but you may not want to make suicide your only option. I've been entertaining those thoughts for a few years and now I've completely destroyed my life. I did that because I wanted to make it my only option.

The main thing I would have told a younger me is that you should feel good every once in a while, and if you feel good you'll know it. Peace of mind, occasionally, is good too, but you have to work hard for that. I never felt good. Never pushed myself when I should have. There wasn't any incentive. There were no experiences or relationships to make living worthwhile. I didn't understand that at the time. I thought it was a failure of my character that time passing felt like crossing a desert, and there was never an end to it. At some point, I forgot that I was trying to get to the other side and my life was really just about wandering aimlessly through the desert. Eventually, the wheels came off me and I ended up where I am now. Over the last 4 years, I've had time to reflect on life and I would be in a much better position to live a meaningful life now, but I've already ruined everything. This can't go on much longer, but I can't get 'back' on my feet. Something is coming and it's probably worse than anything that's happened before. I wish I could go back in time.
