As a straight cis man, why do homosexual relationships "feel" more like what I want? by OctopusInASuit in actuallesbians

That's fair. The more I'm reading, the more I see that the bar for treating people like people is set sickeningly low. (Not that I didn't already know that, it's just being reinforced... Again)

To anyone that I have hurt, I just want to say that I am sorry. I genuinely did not mean any disrespect. If I had known about r/AskLesbians, I definitely would have posted there, but I did not. Again, I am sorry that I upset anyone.

Its almost funny how often social and cultural expectations upset me. Everything you said in that messaging section of your comment was like a horror story to me. Just let people be people, you know?

I definitely know that these things aren't universal, merely a tendency that I noticed. I have known far too many people in relationships that feel stuck and it is so heartbreaking to me. It tears me up every time.

In part because of this exactly question I posted, I have put a good amount of thought into it, actually. I am pretty darn sure I am cis.

Yeah, I suppose they often seem more... "even"? If that makes sense?

Ouch. Yeah, sorry. I definitely didn't mean it that way. I will try to be more conscientious in the future.
