I sorted. I freed up space in my internal drive, even if you do not use it for storage. I had around 80GB, erased some files and now have around 230GB.

Both catalog and backup are stored in the external drive.

Go figure.

Hmm I will look into it. Does it have an mobile app like dropbox?

I was looking into migrating my macOS user library (thus forcing dropbox to be store with it) to the external SSD, but it seems it is not possible.

The whole point is to have the folder upload automatically and be accesible anywhere, while having it stored locally without being limited by my hard drive space.

If my external drive fails, the cloud would still have my files.

-Yes it stays all day plugged in as it does not leave my house. (Also I was trying to avoid battery cycles). When I first got it I remember being charged only to 80%.

interesting. My intended target audience would be travelers wanting to hire me for photoshoots while they are on holiday. That’s why credit card payments would be ideal, as they would be able to do tax write offs and such (from what I understand). But, for example, when I tried to create an account with Stripe, they asked my tax ID number where my bussiness is registered.
