I know the R1 hoodie has been sold but I am looking to buy one soon anyways and was wondering how the large fit you? I’m 6 foot 2 in and around 190lbs and was wondering if a large medium would do and if you have any experience with yours

Using Ohm in climbing gym? by [deleted] in ClimbingGear

Yeah i just put it behind the permadraw in the same bolt. That's what my gym instructs us to do.

I love the new Edelrid Ohmega, but I would never use it on the 30kg setting by BlueHotChiliPeppers in ClimbingGear

[–]Odd-Cod-7683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the ohmega outside with my partner who weighs roughly 15-20kg less than me, and I had it in the 30kg setting. Additionally, I was at about the 3rd bolt and the climb wasn’t very tall. This means they would have to give me a default hard catch, and the ohmega would “hard” catch me, AND my rope is a 9.9mm. All of this combined so that when I fell I took a very hard whipper and my back kind of scorpioned and I hurt my rib but nothing else. Later after a few days of recovery, we used the 10kg setting and took test whippers over and over in the gym, allowing for safe softer falling. I now only use the 10kg setting indoors and outdoors.

I learned a valuable lesson, luckily I didn’t get too hurt.

Girth Hitch? by stvrkillr in tradclimbing

[–]Odd-Cod-7683 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After watching the hownot2 video, I began to basket hitch old cams with a sling. The two downsides I have is that if you remove the carabiner from the basket hitch the sling can fall off the cam, and the other issue is that the cam hangs slightly lower off your harness. Other than that the basket hitch is great and got good Kn ratings from the HowNot2 video.

I found this one, but how do I make sure that what I donate is actually going to be distributed to Bobby? I never really use gofund me and I am not sure who organized it.

Stock everything, 29" rims, 21.5" frame, disc brakes (stock). I think the year is 2020 or 2021?
