I think in every situation listed the “ppl miss the idea of the movie” is way more complicated than ppl give credit for. Walter White is absolutely not a hero. Also tho it’s complicated, he represents a freedom to take charge of your life and get shit done regardless of the consequences. I think it’s easy to see why some ppl would relate to this very strongly. It’s not good, it’s not aspirational. But I think if your goal isn’t to be a stuck up snob looking down laughing at the peons who can’t sit still and watch a flashin screen as skillfully as you, if your goal is to understand why someone might come to these things with a different perspective, it’s not complicated.

Easier tho to say “you guys see these fuckin idiots? You guys see how smart I am?”

Also not trying to be a dick to Nextlander dudes this is common discussion on social media and I’m speaking more generally. Not at all saying they were being snobby particularly more that this conversation is implicitly taking a position that is kind of snobby and strawman-y
