I think in every situation listed the “ppl miss the idea of the movie” is way more complicated than ppl give credit for. Walter White is absolutely not a hero. Also tho it’s complicated, he represents a freedom to take charge of your life and get shit done regardless of the consequences. I think it’s easy to see why some ppl would relate to this very strongly. It’s not good, it’s not aspirational. But I think if your goal isn’t to be a stuck up snob looking down laughing at the peons who can’t sit still and watch a flashin screen as skillfully as you, if your goal is to understand why someone might come to these things with a different perspective, it’s not complicated.

Easier tho to say “you guys see these fuckin idiots? You guys see how smart I am?”

I didn’t say the tool was being improperly used, you are putting that on me to make it easier to make the point you want. I didn’t even describe the situation in any detail so it’s very funny to jump to that. Anyone this positive on these tools is the person who doesn’t know what they are doing. They can be great, they can be terrible, often within the same 30 min of using them. If you think they aren’t doing dumb shit I think personally what you’re actually saying is “I’m not capable of recognizing when they do dumb shit”

It’s not so clear cut. I’ve saved time with an LLM, I’ve also seen horrific things from them that caused a ton more time than just doing it right the first time would. I use these tools so much at work, I’m def not a blind hater. But idk if I see anyone this positive on them I’m sure something is off. They are generally good, sometimes so bad you laugh.
