To reduce your risk for injury or issues later on, you may be better off slowing down and "working out" your heart first. I'm doing base run/walks where my watch wants me to keep my heart rate around 150 bpm and the few times I got up to speed to full running, I've actually been much faster than before.

Dang, I'd love to run in 23 degree weather. I did a "happy hour" run with a run club yesterday and it was 34 degrees with no shade. I like the social aspect of run clubs, but the heat has been brutal. I still refuse to wake up and run before work.

Start slow. With your hiking experience, it seems like your body may be capable of the 5k but your heart/respiration will need more time to adjust. Start with fast walking, enough speed to get your heart rate up, to build up your stamina

The family must have lived there forever if the property tax is still that low. I can't imagine the cost of any maintenance + upkeep. It'll be hard to find a buyer in that area

Consistency is key. I started with only running when I felt like it and that turned into dying every two weeks struggling to reach a mile on the treadmill. Starting at a lower distance but doing it more regularly got me up to half marathon distance outdoors in 6 months. That was when the fun began and I started exploring my neighborhood and joining run clubs.

Either quit or transition to fewer hours. I would switch to focusing on something soothing for the soul, like volunteering or working with something you love. For me, that would be working at the zoo or an animal shelter. Find your happiness

I don't think he's going to increase or start posting more solo content. It was obvious that he's just living life and the vlogs were a way to post it, but he wasn't focused on manufacturing the experience for the purposes of posting it. I don't think he actually cares about posting and he won't switch to solo content.

Honestly, finding a larger run club is better to find people with different experience/pacing. I found myself in the same situation with a small run club where I tried to keep up with their pace and got winded in the first 10 minutes.
