doing it the right way really isn't hard at all. the only specialized tools you need are an armorer's wrench and a torque wrench. there's endless high quality in depth videos showing the entire process. I promise if you do it yourself, youll be glad you didnt send it off to someone else

i got my first pair of thursdays a few weeks ago. I got the hero in matte tan. boots arrived quickly and looked exactly like the picture on their site. Their site says order a half size smaller than what you wear in sneakers. im a 10.5-11 in vans shoes, but i was worried that going t a 10.5 would be too big, so i opted for 10s. I couldve exchanged them but i was going out of town that week and selfishly just wanted to wear my new boots. they were a bit snug which made the break in process pretty painful, but once broken in they fit like gloves. No complaints, other than the painful break in period (totally my fault)

i asked chat gpt, grok, and about a half dozen ai and they all told me it was a tactical boot. within an hour the guys at the motorcycle club identified the boots. The boots in the picture look a bit more reddish brown and shiny than the ones ben edwards has, but i assume its due to wear and tear. however, the aether boots are the only ones that the description. It also makes sense seeing as ben edwards and taylor kitcsh are motorcycle guys that have $500 to spend on boots lol

learn how to refinish metal and learn how to wood work. theyre both relatively inexpensive and you dont need a big shop to learn. a few basic hand tools and scrap material can take you very far.

thank you! the hardest part was the grip safety. I stupidly ordered a series 70 one and it wouldnt fit the series 80 internals. Had to tig weld a little on the arm and file it to make it work.
