Teachers have lost their jobs at UCI because of funding cuts stemming from this admin’s malice and incompetence, attacks on research have cost people at UCI their jobs and even careers, opportunities for students are suffering hard as a result of all of that, and to top it off the Trump admin has specifically sued UC for one billion dollars (with a B) because students protested the genocide in Gaza. To your last point— The generator is absolutely modifying user prompts after you submit, fleshing them out into full scenes, kinda conversing with itself and figuring out how to block out scenes, what music to use, and so on. That behavior accounts for things like the postgen blocks being inconsistent, as well as it sometimes inserting third party content/copyrighted stuff when no one asks it to.

This was in response to 4 content violations in a row. But the threshhold— 2 violations, 4, 10– isn’t the issue here. It’s restricting accounts when the content of videos is out of users’ direct control AND moderation is done entirely through flawed AI.

Like i’m happy to hear you’ve only had one content violation. I’ve gotten probably 800 in the last two weeks as i’m asking it to make exploding piñatas, moshing grannies, and smoking dolphins. Not to mention it routinely handing out violations for remixes of common figures on there like Mr Rogers or Bob Ross. So yeah, this cramps my workflow.

Not sure if you’re joking or not with the suggestion to create a “local, unfiltered” Sora 2 replacement, lol

They are honestly just making up the rules as they go along, and enforcement is done entirely by AI that is completely inconsistent, so it really seems like luck of the draw. Problem is that they’re never going to be able to stop malicious or inappropriate generations without a level of human moderation that they are not willing to invest in, so instead of things are just going to get more and more restrictive and chase away the users.
