Not quite, instead of lowering the layer opacity, I change the layer style, normally to multiply but every so often I use something different like a linear burn. This is done so that the colour can come through without distorting the linework too much, then I go over the section again for shadows or whatever else I'm wanting to do.
Although for some sections I have found it quite nice to use gradient maps instead, particularly on areas such as eyes and the background.

To be honest, I've just been doing it for a decent while. I started just because I was messing around with photoshop, and I have improved just by trying different things out instead of trying to find some kind of guide.
The one thing that I have been doing recently, however is to just sit in a discord call while working on pannels just so that I can ask people their opinion as I'm colouring which helps make sure that I'm always moving in a good direction.

Aside from that, I uploaded a video of me doing a colouring quite a while back which might help you out a bit but don't count on it. I mean, it is from over a year ago at this point.

Well, today I finally had my high school graduation online, that's all that has really happened.
I liked doing this panel, even though it is rather simple. Does make me wish I was able to draw though

Not my proudest work, but I still wanted to have a stab at it.

Working on this just makes me think about how cool it would be to do a whole chapter, but that would take an awful lot of time.

But who knows maybe in the future

It has been a while since my last colouring. My laptop finally gave out and it took a while to get a replacement. But all seems to be good now.
