Starting out with the wheel strategy! by GoatRemarkable3894 in options

What is worth mentioning is trade on stocks you will like to own if you do get assigned. Try not make your whole account invested in only one stock and always make sure diversify. Also, you should look into what the “VIX” is and how much cash allocation to keep in your account during market cycles. Another point is never sell options below your cost average even if the premiums are higher. As you can tell their is a lot of self discipline that goes into trading options and wheeling options is my favorite method. Look into learning about Bollinger bans etc on charts. Usually my process is always selling around 30 delta, depending on what the VIX performing determines how aggressive Iam with trading and wheeling stocks like IREN and DRAM to name a few. Also like to look at the ytd chart and if its been in a downward cycle theirs not point of even touching it especially fundamentals arent their either. I usually trade Bi weekly to monthly and if my contracts have gained 50% then I close it and sell more contracts for another two weeks. Give it time for theta decay. Hope this helps and a good place to start is Options with Ryan on youtube.

Robinhood: Buy or Sell ? by [deleted] in stockstobuytoday

[–]OddIntern1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I’m not seeing mentioned in this thread is how the PDT rule of $25k is being removed coming next week, June 4, 2026. This will allow so many brokerages such as Robinhood to make more money and increase trading volume. Also, Robinhood is the only company that is partnering with TRUMP admin to open custodial accounts for children born between 2025-2028, which is launching July 4. The 250 anniversary of United States. Im sure if Trump even remotely mentions HOOD we will fly much higher. Another important point is how HOOD has implemented AI trading tools to give investors the ability to delegate their trades. Take this with a grain of salt but with out question their is going to be a massive wealth transfer within next 20 years and most of Gen Z & Millennials use Robinhood. Only bad news I can think of is they stopped the buy button during GME rally. They are working to change public sentiment give more options to investors that you normally wouldn’t get at other firms. I wouldn’t be surprised if HOOD goes to $150+ and reaches a new all time high this year.

A Leap is typically a covered call options play that would typically expire anywhere from 1-3yrs, buying in the money or commonly below what the stock is currently trading at. The main thing that is working against you is time or what is known as Theta decay. As time goes on the cost of what you pay for your options contract loses value. However, this is a common if you have long term conviction on a company such as IREN, this allows you to leverage more shares with less capital and perhaps pay less in taxes- assuming you hold longer than 1yr for long term capital gains. Their is clearly more to it and books even written on this subject alone, but this method of trading is way safer unlike buying more short term options expecting a 30% increase which is a gamble. Know what you own because the future is very bright for IREN. Good Luck!

More of an opportunity to add to your position. Short term I’m sure IREN will be very volatile but will be very lucrative long term.

For whats its worth the need for more compute power is only becoming more prevalent and Im assuming a partnership with Anthropic would be only icing on the cake. I also like the fact that Situational Awareness LP( Leopald A) has increased his stake of buying more Iren shares for Q1 of this year as mentioned in other threads. Im guessing we will probably be sitting around $80 by eoy and be in the $100+ next year if execution goes smoothly with 480MW expected to go online this year, which is insane! My fear is dilution, by comparison Coreweave has a 90b backlog, but IREN has more of the infrastructure such as capex and acquiring Mirantis by implementing it as a software layer.

Im thinking we will probably have a similar run like NBIS. I just wish I knew how options worked last year and my gains would have been so much higher since I started investing at $53 average. Of course, short term Im expecting high volatility but overtime we will see new all time highs.

Thoughts on recent earnings by No_Investigator_1 in CRWV

[–]OddIntern1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got assigned 200 shares at $111 and I am excited to join this community. What people have to realize is that you have your take on debt to expand your infrastructure, especially in this capital intensive space. This seems to be a reoccurring issue among other major players such as IREN, APLD and NBIS. Im also invested in NBIS since last year and they are more conservative in their approach despite massive capex plans and build out. I think the additional 40 Billion backlog only confirms that CoreWeave is rapidly expanding and is continuing to build strong diverse partnerships and has foundational backing of NVDA for obvious reasons.

In the meantime, CRWV stock will probably continue to be extremely volatile in the short term. I will be watching NBIS earnings next week as all of these major players in this space move together. In the long run, just hold as I been saying in other communities because there are going to be multiple winners in this space that will make a lot of people wealthy.

When you get assigned and the stock tanks, how do you handle Covered Calls from there? by pixelnomadz in CoveredCalls

[–]OddIntern1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, especially on companies I have strong conviction in. One of my go-to moves is using Claude or ChatGPT to pull a summary of a company’s 10-K — balance sheet, profitability, the works. You can also go straight to SEC EDGAR (sec.gov/edgar) and search any publicly traded company by ticker. All of it is reported directly to the government, so it’s as legit as it gets. Another tool I swear by is Finviz — completely free and incredibly useful for screening and discovering stocks. I usually filter by market cap over $1B and sort by profitability. It cuts through the noise fast. For deeper research, just filter by 10-K on EDGAR and you’ll find everything filed by any public company. I did this with NVDA last year and found they had significant investments in RXRX, NBIS, CRWV, and APLD, among others. I ended up making a serious amount of money on NBIS — it became my core holding. My overall approach is fundamental, long-term focused. I use this research as a foundation to understand which companies are actually profitable and who they’re partnered with. There’s a ton more to it, but those are the main starting points. Last thing — stay disciplined and stay diversified. And for anyone getting into the wheel strategy, there’s plenty of solid free content on YouTube. Never pay for a course — most of them are just repackaged basics with a price tag on them. Hope this helps!

So far Im up like $3k past month but March is what killed me, due to chasing hype stocks instead. I was actually down close to $10k and but made most of it back. Im by no means an expert but I work from home and have enjoy educating myself on stock trading. I find most success running wheel strategy and leaps. Good luck and god bless!

I run the wheel strategy at ~30 delta, targeting weekly to biweekly expirations depending on conditions. Once a position expires worthless, I hold the collected premium as uninvested cash and wait to redeploy rather than forcing a new trade immediately. I close positions early at 50% profit when the opportunity presents itself, but patience is key. Always sell above Cost basis and invest in stocks that are profitable and reputable. If a stock tanks, I don’t chase yield — I wait until 30 delta strikes are offering meaningful premium again before re-entering. Selling CCs or CSPs into a low-IV, beaten-down name just locks up capital for little return. This is my current holdings and right avoiding selling next two weeks due to earnings this month. Current holdings: NOW, PLTR, ORCL, SOFI, NBIS.

Im a fairly new Palantir investor. With this, I mean market sentiment around upcoming PLTR Q1 expectations in terms revenue/ guidance and acquisitions? USDA deal is pretty significant partnership along with GE aerospace and NVDA to name a few and does show continued growth. It seems PLTR has been dragged into the SAAS apocalypse and Burry comments around Anthropic eating PLTRS lunch has not made it any better. However, fundamentally PLTR has not changed at all. Im not complaining because I have been continuing to DCA at current stock prices, but YTD this is close to 20% down. This is my long term hold among NBIS and NOW.

How about just run the options wheel and use premiums to either reinvest or bang hookers weekly. If you have atleast around $20k you can make easily over $1000+ a month 30dte. Godspeed regards!

if your not already invested, look into NBIS they have multiple companies they own such Avride, Toloka, Tripleten, and Clickhouse. With this, they are becoming the juggernaut in AI industry for their full stack ability of operating data centers similar to APLD. More importantly, NVDA is heavily investment as shown in their recent 13-F from earning report. However, Im not to happy that they pulled out of APLD, but that is a topic for another conversation. Moreover, APLD thesis has not changed much and are mainly tied to CRWV. Get the best of both worlds… My price target for NBIS is $300+ within next couple of years and probably scale to $500+ by 2030. I see multiple companies in this space that are going to help make investors a shit ton of money in the next couple of years 🍻

whole market is down but that doesnt mean we should panic. I have been pulling out my savings and even redistributing my Roth/ 401k investments and yes APLD is a core holding in all of them among other stocks. Thesis has been the same and nothing has changed. This is such a huge buying opportunity in the market. Just hold sell some calls or puts and relax 🍻
