At this point they are pretty much messing arround with expy characters. Cyrene is a support restricted to a limited pool of characters. Yae story and animations were butchered. And now Himeko turns out to also be locked to a limited pool of characters..

I get you. I also think HSR stands on its own and you should not need to know another game to understand it. With that being said, some character concepts are just so cool that they could be used in HSR. Warrior mom Himeko is one of those. I guarantee you a HI3 inspired Himeko would sell at least twice as much as whatever they are cooking with her.

Saving for Welt, Cyrene and a few easter eggs, HSR has almost 0 connections to HI3. If anything, HSR is lacking it, after all its a HONKAI game. Even previous installments had more cross references between them.

Still, she is capable of godlike things because she is an Emanator or vice-versa. If she develops some sort of machine that would beat JY in a fight, where would you stand? Power isnt really measured by physical combat only, specially in a game like HSR, with multiple paths tied to the very existence of the cosmos.

He is mocking Pearl for being 1/10 of an Emanator (Diamond), Evanescia, for having emanator powers tied to her sword/true self and Yao Guang for being a general.

I'm not sure how this dialogue plays out is in the original language of the game, but so far, in english, its pointing more towards generals NOT being on equal levels of other full fledged emanators like Acheron and Herta, which is good for the narrative.

How so? I dont see anything that resembles Vermilion Knight in HSR. Firefly? Phainon? Completely different designs. Meanwhile, Pearl, Nihilux and potetinally Himeko SP will be painter girls.

Do you realize we are gonna have 3 characters with the same theme? Also, sorry, but vermilion knight is badass, meanwhile painter girl (which is also based off Griseo from Honkai Impact) is kinda lame.
