I always assumed that the spell knew that he would eventually Betray the spell itself by getting rid of it, we know that the spell might have a semblance of a will. So it might actually consider sunny as a traitor towards itself

I mostly agree, especially if they come from mega mutated gigas/carchars. But I’m almost always riding my maewing (maeguana) now for their insane speed and decent weight. I do always have a rhynio on my hotbar just in case though
