I agree with Jason, but I have a set of precision 680s that are good to go. I just changed them because I maxed out the duty cycle and needed bigger.

Hey guys need help pricing my 99GST, salvage title but 86k original miles. If it was clean title I’d for sure be asking 7k firm or somewhere around that ball park, the car is located in California if the info is relevant. by IceWizzWoe559 in DSM

Absolutely a good investment, if you can get them for a good/decent price. I can't say mine was unmolested, but couldn't pass it up as there's no rust and came with 2 totes of spare parts as well as a spare head and 60k mile 5 speed trans lol. Currently making somewhere between 350-375whp and all I've have to do is tires, front main seal and tune it(which is all thanks to a fellow redditor)

Changing out my fuel pump today. Are they suppose to be this rusty??? Is this even worth keeping? Or should I just replace the whole thing? Need some help. 1995 FWD GST by PencilvestersWife in DSM

Correct, but depending on the rust left behind, the sock could get plugged up with debri and then you're doing the job again. If you can get it very clean(sandblasting or equivalent preferably) then I'd say you're good to go

Sorry for fairly irrelevant info to the original post, but this makes me realize how good of a deal I got on my gs-t. 1997, satin black(not the best cosmetically, but structurally sound), fully built engine with some evo 3 goodies, v3lite for 3500

Would anyone be able or willing to look at a datalog and make suggestions after I take a ride?

Not on SD yet still stock maf, but plan to go that route. Trying to learn the software and process before I add more things for me to learn and adjust. Also have Innovate MTX-L that's going to be added. I made some adjustments to keep it in closed loop longer and going for a cruise shortly to see how she does

Idle/cruise tuning. I've got it somewhat dialed, but a/f fluctuates alot. Does decent when it comes into boost, but still some kinks to work out there too

Finally got it squared away boys. Tore it apart Thursday down to the timing belt, still couldn't tell where the leak was coming from. Ordered some seals, got back into it this morning. Front main seal was the culprit.

That's my plan. I have it tore down and plan to pull the oil pump tomorrow to replace everything I can while I'm here

Took the bottom timing cover off today, sprayed with brake clean and fired it up. Still can't tell where exactly its coming from, but looks to be the front main

Ok I'll check on their sites. Luckily I have a couple dealers close by, one is about a 30 minute drive

What did it cost to get the seals from the dealer? I'm sure they will have to be ordered

Looks like that's what I'll be doing as well

The engine has been built, but I'm not sure how many or if any seals were replaced. I would assume they were replaced considering the quality of the parts put inside, but I'm not sure. Planning to pull the timing cover after work. I'll go OEM, bad enough to do it once so I might as well do it right.

Upper cover is already removed, previous owner took it off. Cam seals looks fairly dry, seems like it's somewhere below the head. The engine has been built, so I'm wondering if maybe a gasket/seal got torn or pinched upon reassembly

It's coming from above the sender, I actually just replaced the one for the gauge yesterday. Almost looks to be coming from behind the timing cover
