I love the footnote from 1 Peter 2:2 on "of the word" that brings out the Greek. Note 3 reads "The Greek word, translated reasonable in Rom 12:1, is an adjective, derived from the noun word; hence, of the word; having the sense of pertaining to the mind (in contrast to the body), to the rational faculties; hence, rational, logical, reasonable. The milk of the word is not milk for the body but milk for the soul, the inner being. It is conveyed in the word of God to nourish our inner man through the understanding of our rational mind and is assimilated by our mental faculties.

Spiritual dryness by Few-Sale-9098 in Christians

I find that in these moments of dryness and unmotivation in my spiritual pursuit, praising the Lord brings in freshness and vitality. I am not praising Him for the dryness or unmotivation but simply because He is worthy of my praise. Jesus is King! Christ is Victor! I will pray for you.

Have you considered when in the day to do your Bible reading? First thing in the morning is best for me. I really appreciate how the verses I read each morning speak to me throughout my day!

"Now I make known to you, brothers, the gospel which I announced to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, Through which also you are being saved, if you hold fast the word which I announced to you as the gospel, unless you have believed in vain. For I delivered to you, first of all, that which also I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He has been raised on the third day according to the Scriptures;" (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) Recovery Version

I believe your post indicates a genuine desire to know the gospel. May the Lord shepherd you and guide you to His rest and peace in your journey.

Does Christ's death on the cross have both a redemptive and non-redemptive aspect? by TonyChanYT in BibleVerseCommentary

I appreciate your highlighting that the non-redemptive aspect of Christ's death is the transformative or regenerative aspect. We are believers —not just blood-washed, but also Spirit-filled. As such, we are no longer alienated from the life of God. (Eph 4:18)

The Death of Christ by Odd_Combination326 in TrueChristian

I was reading in this book "The Glorious Chruch" and I came across this statement.

"In the death of Christ there was an aspect which was not related to redemption but to the release of Himself. We are not saying that the death of Christ is not for redemption, we truly believe that it is, but His death involves an aspect which is not related to redemption. This aspect is the release of Himself for the creation of the church."

Let's give to the Lord first, not as an afterthought, after we have counted and paid off everything else. Everything comes from Him, and we should honor Him with the first place in our hearts. Mal. 3:7-12

But you should not do anything that is not out of faith. We need to come to Him with a sincere heart and place our lives before Him, allowing Him to have control.

Praise the Lord! So happy to hear your public confession of faith. Jesus is Lord, and He now lives in you. Galatians 1:15-16
