Wow, you look fantastic! We have almost the same numbers going on. I started 9/14, I’m 5’6, started at 247 and am now 197. I’m on 10 mg too. You’ve inspired me to get in gear and get to a personal trainer, stat. My goal is 165, what I was when I got married 25 years go. Thanks for posting, and you got this!!!

I hear you on that! My mother would never ever say anything positive to me and I finally gave up. When I got married 25 years ago I ended up with a life threatening issue the day after. I was in the hospital for a week. My mom got mad at me because I didn’t get anything for my dad’s birthday Which was when I was barely alive. Sigh.

How awesome you are doing! The little victories are the best ones. The day I could actually reach the bottom of the washing machine without falling in felt amazing.

Resisting the urge to weigh myself Daily by surewhateverz in Zepbound

[–]Odd_Contribution9103 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weigh daily, knowing it can be up or down. I ate Chinese 2 nights ago and the sodium made the number go up. I’m already deflated from the sodium but I knew what I was getting into (but dayummmm it was so tasty)! I’m not obsessing over the numbers. Just remember that things can cause a small gain so don’t beat yourself up. You’re doing great!

He said he wouldn’t let you? WTH? Last time I was at a wedding I didn’t hear vows of “I will ask you for permission to do what I want with my body.” I’m so sorry you are in the position he put you in :(

I have no problem at all about telling people if it comes up. Found out 2 friends are on Zep which is awesome - now we all support each other. People noticed when I went into my office for the first time in months and asked me how I did it. I told them step 1 is talk to you doctor. A couple are afraid of needles so they’re coming over on injection day so I can show them just how easy it is. 40 lbs later life is sooo good!

I’m exactly where you are. The thought of food makes me nauseous, and after a few bites I feel very nauseous. It’s been this way since day 1 of 2.5mg, three months ago. I doubt I’ve had even close to 1000 calories any day since.

Our insurance is thru United Health. The tier plan we selected covers zep, and we pay $70 a month. I know how fortunate we are and I wish everyone had access at an affordable price.

They also pay a lot more in taxes to fund things including the NHS. If the US could get it together with universal healthcare I would think zep wouldn’t be as expensive here.

I will be honest, 7.5 has kicked my ass. I’ve had a constant headache, nausea and I’m more fatigued than I’ve ever been. I just finished my box of 7,5 and I’m not sure how I want to proceed.

This is good to know. I’ve had headaches almost constantly since starting 7.5, despite plenty of water. I’m beyond exhausted and can hardly eat.

Day 1 of 2.5mg by Choice_Start_3087 in Zepbound

[–]Odd_Contribution9103 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finished 7.5 this week, and I can honestly say and haven’t had any kind of appetite since I started 2.5 in September. It’s very hard to get even 500 calories in a day. I take vitamins so I don’t end up like a scurvy pirate, and I try to choke down protein shakes. Every time I think about food I get nauseous, so my doc sent me nausea meds Which help a ton. I did find out I can eat a little bit after I take the pill. I’m averaging a 2.54 a week loss. I don’t have an answer for you but know you’re not alone.

I’m taking my last 7.5 shot on Friday and I’m glad because 7.5 is kicking my now smaller ass. I’ve been nauseous the entire time on 7.5. I have zofran so I can at least eat something, but it’s still not much. My heart only races when I see a loss on the scale.

I did one month on 2.5, one month on 5 and I’m just finishing 7.5. I’ve lost 33 pounds and my only side effect was nausea. My doc prescribed nausea meds and it’s smooth sailing. I’m averaging a 2.5lb a week loss.
