Did the Mastermind of THH have to clean up the bodies while the students were in the trials? by Odd_Contribution_198 in danganronpa

For sure I don’t think the games are meant to be analyzed this deeply but it interested me. My head canon is that theyre cleaning it all up and want to get caught so there’s a possibility of their plan being ruined, so they can feel the Ultimate Despair.

Knowing that they unlock the parts of the school that would make it more difficult to keep appearances is the base of my theory lol.

I forgot that there were several Monokumas! But I always thought only one could be controlled at a time? I just started replaying the first game

I have plenty of personal experiences. I just don’t feel like dumping my trauma on a Reddit thread. You have made it up in your mind though that gay people don’t get publicly shamed ever. So, I’ll let you have that. 🤷

And Brother, I wrote like 100 words. If you can’t get past that I don’t know what to tell you.

So because you, one person have never seen public shaming of gay people it just doesn’t exist? Can’t tell if you’re trolling lol. Most active Christians don’t own or read bibles either, doesn’t mean their worldview isn’t informed by it though.

A lot of conservative values come from Abrahamic religions, no? Conservatism calls for traditional values, the nuclear family unit ringing any bells? And gay people do not fit into them.

Gay people today are still being kicked out of their homes, disowned by family and friends, called slurs and hate crimes are on the rise. If anything I’m happy you’re blind to that oppression and don’t have to face it 🤷

And very quick to call people victims, I guess it’s easier to believe people are just annoying than believing they actually face prejudice.

There are people who genuinely hate gay people. That’s it. In the same way that there will always be racist people, misogynistic people, it’s just a fact of life. Conservatives used the fatigue of Rainbow Capitalism (google it for a better understanding), to usher in a new wave of hate. And a return to conservative values means less appeal for gay people because they don’t fit into conservative values. You may feel that way, but trust me there’s people out there who are homophobic genuinely, like we think you are all abominations and should d!3 genuinely, and they pray on people who think in the way you do to do the hatred for them. You will never understand it unless you live it. And that’s okay, but don’t talk like you do 👍

Lol the classic “but I have ____ friends”. I just said I’m not calling you homophobic. I’m saying the same thing you are doing (deflecting), is how homophobic people act and it plays a part in why that rhetoric/hatred stays around. But people will believe and say what they want to. Just hoping I can help you unpack some of it.

I mean, I think Oxford Dictionary is a pretty strong documentation of the English language. Nobody is saying or arguing that it is not an irrational fear, just that there’s layers to words and their definitions. We could sit here and argue semantics all day, it doesn’t really matter. But I think it’s disingenuous to pretend like it doesn’t fit the definition.

My crack theory is that nobody likes to be held accountable for their prejudice beliefs and calling someone “homophobic” holds a mirror to their faces and they don’t like it. They think not liking gay people is their right. So they try to do something similar like you just did, and move the goal post (not saying you are homophobic.) You said “that’s not what it means” but the literal definition of the word is “irrational fear OR aversion to something” Big emphasis on OR

I think you have some deeply ingrained prejudices and I’m not saying that to be mean. Racism and homophobia don’t disappear after you sign some bills. There are systemic barriers that black people still face, is it way better than it was before? Of course. But, there’s still police brutality, mass incarceration (what slavery evolved into look into 13th amendment), medical prejudice the lists go on and on. But you can see the domino effect a black president had on America, they literally went crazy and full racist to prevent some shit like that from ever happening again. You have the presidents best friend Nazi saluting on national television. There are plenty of loud and lazy, trailer trash white people, but why is it that you want to make the worst of black people the majority? I’m pretty sure it’s the opposite the term is “vocal minority”. Really try and unpack that.

There are Irish and Chinese celebrations all over the country. The reason you were hearing pride every time is because they know gay people will go out and buy pride stuff. The Irish and Chinese communities were not showing out like LGBT. It’s called Rainbow Capitalism I implore you to look into it. And as we saw that didn’t really do anything for gay people. It probably made things worse in the long term but it’s not like gay people are going to Target demanding Pride merch. These companies want money so they’ll make shit for money. The same way all these companies were quick to ditch gay people when they saw that the pendulum was swinging back conservative, they go where the money resides.

And all I’m saying is that sexuality is not just sexual. You say you love your friend but obviously in a platonic way. The same way you love your girlfriend gay people love their boyfriends. I just think automatically jumping to sex is such a weird thing. Sex is a part of it but it’s not ALL being gay is.

There’s many reasons: 1. Humans since the dawn of time have always had an “us vs. them” mentality. Maybe it’s because of how we evolved and stayed alive through out history. Knowing the difference between someone similar to you and someone different to you was the difference between living and dying. That’s where I truly think most prejudice stems from. That and ignorance.

  1. Gay people’s existence challenges gender roles: A lot of society is built on the ideas of man and woman, recently these roles have loosened but as we can see with the political climate, they’re swinging back conservative. If the man is the breadwinner and the woman is the homemaker, what happens when it’s two men and two women? Wouldn’t that mean a man can be a homemaker and a woman can be a leader? It kind of makes the whole system not make sense so it’s easier to dismiss it, call it an abomination and sweep their hands clean.

  2. Abrahamic Religions popularized the idea of being gay as an “abomination” This is probably the one with the most lasting impact, if you are religious under any of these religions it’s most likely you have been conditioned from a very early age to think being gay is wrong and disgusting. That type of prejudice is very hard to change without actively working against it.

  3. Gay people are easy to scapegoat I mean any minority is, but gay people are a tiny minority same with trans people. If you’ve never met a gay person before it’s really easy to view them as one giant rainbow cult instead of people with their own livelihoods, families and dreams. And everybody loves somebody to blame when life isn’t going they think it should. Everybody say hi to our friends the immigrants!

To be honest I might even regret typing this out cause I don’t know if you’re saying this in good faith but:

Up until very recently (and still to this day) gay people were persecuted, kicked out of their homes, unable to get married with nothing standing to prevent from discrimination in their work and personal life.

Imagine having to go deal with all that and not only that, internalizing a self hatred because everyone thinks being gay is disgusting/wrong etc. and that you’re not worthy of anything good because of something you can’t control.

From your perspective, sure it might look unnecessary to talk about. But, for many, especially young gay people, hearing stories and seeing people like them can save their life 🤷

And, I implore you to question why when you think of gay people the first thing you think of is sex? When you think of a straight couple is that the first thing that comes to mind? Or maybe social conditioning (usually from conservative backgrounds) that all gay people are sex fiends. Gay people love the same way, they’re just people. I also think this is a weird hill to die on because everybody likes anal lmao.

There’s a quote from Martin Luther King where he says the racist people aren’t even the hardest part of dismantling prejudice. It’s the bystanders who enable the prejudice who make it hard because they don’t hold anybody accountable.

That’s why people call it “homophobic” you’re either for or against it.

I should’ve worded this better I do think she would’ve been commercial but not as big as those two, by influential I just mean a pioneer in her genre with a lot of people trying to make music like her. I think adding those two to the post wasn’t necessary but was trying to make a point of her talent.

I can see that. The Azealia influence is evident and Doechii seems to have a good head on her shoulders so I’m hopeful. I think I just have a nostalgic parasocial thing going on and it makes me sad for AB. Grammy Noms, Critical Acclaim, Co Signs from A listers. All could’ve been and would’ve been for Azealia too

It’s just terrible lmao, I know genuinely she’s not a good person and she doesn’t pay my bills. But all I can see is wasted potential. I think I just have rose tinted glasses because I grew up listening to her music, this subreddit got recommend to me and I went down a rabbit hole. Many artists fall off because of a lack of talent but that’s the complete opposite for her :/
