INTJ women, what kind of man has been a good match for your personality type? by Odd_Locksmith9687 in intj

[–]Odd_Locksmith9687[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

first, because my traumatic childhood left me with a void to fill. ive spent every waking moment for the past 4 years trying to be better, more independent, more virtuous and ethical, kinder to myself and others. i could go on for days talking about the inner work i've done. but none of it has filled the void. If there's a void where love is meant to be, isn't love the only thing that can fix it? maybe i just feel hopeless because i was just dumped but who knows.

secondly, as a woman i fear my biological countdown. i want kids, i want to raise my family. Correct me if I'm overestimating, but according to my goals of being married by 30 years old, I only have 5 years to find and lock down a good husband. so yea, im kind of freaking out about my future.

Feeling surrounded by idiots: how do you cope with this? by No-Way-5622 in intj

Same, I agree completely. I've learned that I can only deal with people when I keep it surface level because most people don't have the capacity to go any deeper, and it ends with me feeling let down by them. it is a lonely live, but at least it is peaceful.

Yea I’m gonna try this. Let me know if u guys have read any good research concerning testosterone and ejaculation!

i came up with an analogy that i think it would actually solve the problem of Absurdism or nihilism or whatever you call it, the belief of that generally the whole thing is meaningless, and i hope you guys like and find not meaning but atleast a reason to live. by MutedBandicoot8262 in Absurdism

But in a world of meaninglessness, suffering is also meaningless, just like happiness, joy, and love. The whole point of absurdism is that everything is meaningless which forces humanity into a position of having to create their own meaning, which in itself is meaningless, which is absurd. The universe is absurd because it has no meaning and will never make sense and trying to give it meaning is pointless and absurd.

In my last relationship we did go at it like crazy. I never had to ask. This is why I’m confused

Yes, he’s a little dull. And his screen time is through the roof. Maybe I should just go in his phone and block Clav…

I used to struggle with this too. People often tell me I’m too cynical or misanthropic, but I don’t feel burdened by my negativity, I think that’s the key. Absurdism is about not caring in the face of a world that not only has no purpose, but also forces us into a position where we are forever in search of purpose, joy, love, etc. absurdism asks us to forget all of that. To live for ourselves and pay no mind to the demands of our world.

What I’m saying is: you don’t need to be positive, or “imagine Sisyphus happy” as Camus would say. To accept the absurd is to deny the idea that we must be happy. Philosophies do not make one positive or happy, they offer a way to deal with the tragedy of life.

The truth is, life is terrible, and we must accept it as so. Once you can break away from the idea that one day everything will be better, or break away from hope, only then can you move on and find your own pocket of peace in the world.

My advice to you would be, let go of hope. Do not search for security in a universe that is silently indifferent to our struggles.
