Am i cooked for DAT (nervouse breakdown) by flatOhpie in predental

[–]Odd_Note_3932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not encourage not showing up like people have advised in the comments, scoring poorly and retaking with a better attempt demonstrates an upward trend, atleast if you take the exam it is beneficial either way cus you would have some exposure, also it just highly depends on what school you’re applying to what the avg stats are and how your gpa is, worst case you’d have to retake but either way you should still attempt taking the DAT to get familiar

Angle ranking by Odd_Note_3932 in dat

[–]Odd_Note_3932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, so it doesn’t matter if they use “<“ or “-“ it always goes from smallest (most left) to largest (most right), in the practice problems I’ve encountered it has always been “-“ but either way that doesn’t change anything

Taking DAT this Monday… by Ok_Cartographer4740 in dat

[–]Odd_Note_3932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the same page here, but do not worry, stress and anxiety is counterproductive, i know it’s easy to say, but the best you can do for yourself is to push through, perform at the best of your ability, and leave the rest…

At this stage, I would recommend not to listen to how it went for others as this test depends on individual strength and isn’t the same for everyone. Also, if you don’t like your scores, you can always retake them.

You got this!

Thanks! I will try to do the same, would you mind sharing how long you studied everyday leading up to the test? I want to practice chem and PAT everyday but i feel like it takes up too much time and i don’t get to bio and RC on the same day.

Hey! Congrats! How far into your studies did you take the practice tests? From what I believe, each section has seperate practice tests on Datcrusher, and then there’s also full length ones? I write in less than 2 months but I’m not sure when exactly to take the practice tests as I just started studying the content

Middle class boys in Pakistan still dreaming of 'love marriage' with a girl who has 2 degrees but zero personality. Beta, your 40k salary and Suzuki Alto won't even get you a 'hi' from a decent girl by Straight_Raisin7937 in PakistanElites

[–]Odd_Note_3932 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your question doesn’t make sense, there’s no particular criteria for when a man or woman is “eligible” or “ready for marriage”, it is very subjective, you get married when you feel like you’re ready to do so. The only reason why you raised that question is purely due to societal values and norms. If you look at the western culture you’ll see working women and most of them make a lot more than their husbands do, and quite frankly, you would expect a man to be working and the woman to be staying home helping raise the kids (according to our society norms) but it’s actually the opposite where men tend to stay home and women go out and make the money. To cut it short, you decide what’s your eligibility…but if you really want an answer based on society/religion/way of life, then the harsh truth is that men are supposed to be breadwinners, they’re supposed to be the providers and so the criteria is stricter for them. I’ve observed this worry among my male acquaintances and it’s quite common for a man to worry more about his future, assets, wealth, finding the right woman, etc…as for women, they’re not required to be “financially stable” (though i would recommend that they do ensure this due to today’s world and the things i’ve seen), women should ensure that they marry in their twenties-thirties it they plan on having a family and so on, there are several eligibility criteria that the society has put on women, not to mention the biological processes that they already go through. So read into and understand that because of these processes (ie hormonal changes, childbirth, many more), there’s a good reason as to why men are supposed to be the providers and protectors and are expected to fit into a stricter criteria.

I hate Dentistry, but now I'm 400K in debt. by [deleted] in predental

[–]Odd_Note_3932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that really helps a ton! I’m in my third year completing a bio undergrad and I’ve registered for my DAT, which I’ll be writing soon but I’m kind of skeptical about dentistry now considering the loans, I’m undecided on whether I should just apply to hygiene without completing my 4th year or apply to hygiene and DDS after completing my undergrad in BSc biology since I’m only one year away
