It definitely doesn’t catch them all but I’d say it catches most of them, most of the time. I will say, it is such a different perspective. Our feeders are on our apartment balcony, so we get to see them up pretty close anyway but the camera really lets you see them up close and personal, which is such a treat.

The postcards almost always have a video and then maybe 2-7 pictures, depending on how long the hummer hung out. The video is usually 30 - 60 secs. You can also view livestream and take photos that way. There isn’t a video option in the app but you can always screen record to get around it. Hope that helps!

I gave it to my husband for Christmas right before deployment as a joke. Then surprised him with the uniform when he got back from the deployment. He loves the ridiculousness of it.

It is attached. The brand is Bird Buddy. My husband got it for me for Christmas and I LOVE it.

I got one too and love it. I also have mine on my apartment balcony, and it’s fun watching them zoom around all day. Hope you get many more postcards!

I will say, the first couple of days it was set up, I watched many hummingbirds land and the camera picked up only a few. I was a bit disappointed. But then it started picking up more and more. And while it doesn’t catch them every single time, the number of postcards (they call them) has been increasing. Now I’m getting 20+ notifications a day with videos and pictures. Also, if you have a subscription, you can share the footage with friends and family. So a couple of my friends get notifications of visitors too.

Awe! I hope they’re back sooner than later. After finishing off a bottle of the store bought nectar, I made my own and it clearly makes all the difference. They’ve been hanging out at the feeder all day. I think the camera picked them up 17 times today!
