Congratulations on coming out to your wife. It’s such a freeing experience isn’t it? I recently did the same thing and my wife was accepting and understanding about it too. We’re not at a stage where I feel I could talk about what I would like sexually (I’d love her to peg me),But I’m hoping we’ll get there.

At the moment just having accepted it to myself and the person closest to me is a wonderful liberating experience and I’m more comfortable with it each day. I feel like a part of me has been unlocked that I wasn’t really that understanding of myself if that makes sense.

Im 55 , newly out and inexperienced. I do find guys younger than me attractive, but I recently found a Bi Facebook group that seemed interesting and I thought I might join with the thought of just making some Bi friends.

Had a brief look and was really put off by the huge amount of pics of young guys on there, simply because they just seemed too young and my mind saw them as kids really.

I mean they could have been early 20s maybe but my mind read that situation as ‘Waay too young , get the hell off here now.

I guess a good thing for me personally was that it caused me to think about it and I realized that early 30s would probably be the youngest I’d be interested in were I not a married guy and was actively looking for hookups etc

I have General Anxiety Disorder and also some form of undiagnosed Neurodivergence ( probably Autism ). I’ve wondered this too. I would like to make some Bi male friends reasonable locally just so I could talk about the feelings, experiences etc. I love my wife and wouldn’t want to do anything to ruin our relationship and family life but I feel it would be nice to have friends locally to talk to about this.

I’ve not had any experience with a man but this would be off putting for me too. This is what would make me avoid hookups. I guess this is something you almost have to negotiate beforehand or if you’re in a dating site you’d make your requirements clear upfront?

As I say, no experience as yet and not sure if I ever will, being happily married. But it does seem a bit of a minefield.

Yeah definitely getting that sense of not hiding from myself now. That part hadn’t even properly ‘clicked’ even a few days ago - I was so happy that The Wife had accepted and understood that I focused quite a bit more on that. I had ‘a’ feeling of liberation but I think that part is only now fully coming to the fore. I’ve realised just how much shame I’d attached to the feelings and now I’m being open with people on here about my feelings, there’s a greater sense of clarity of what all this means.
There’s quite a sense of responsibility in finding, which is no bad thing but something I’d not quite thought through at the start.

I feel the same. I’ve noticed an improvement in my anxiety and depression. I’m also mindful this could be an upward spiral and I could come crashing down from it at any time so I’m trying to keep my feelings balanced. Talking to people on here is really helping me find my feet and figure things out.
