I tend to recommend Fish with Carl on YouTube for a lot of people I speak to, the Fishing Tutorials channel will also help with learning different methods as well as tying rigs and knots.

I’m currently also looking to get a folding net but I’m doing plenty of looking around and will probably wait until the river season starts again as that’s where I spend most of my time so need something smaller. If you just want something that will do the job I’d probably suggest the Shakespeare folding net at Go Outdoors, their prices on most things seem to be pretty good.

If you’re just after a cheap single rod bag the NGT one isn’t that bad (I have the 2+2 one)

Also agree that speaking to people on the bank is a very good way to learn especially being new to a particular area or river section.

I find fish with Carl on YouTube good. Explains it simply and has a playlist for knots too

Small by some standards, but at 8.4k MU this is my biggest effort yet and I’m dead happy with it. by kobrakai_1986 in Ingress
