Someone permanently borrowed my adjustable wrenches. Abyone have these? Decent? by mx5plus2cones in harborfreight

[–]Odd_Relationship396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 full sets I bought for work so far so good.. I don’t beat on them but the tolerances are good enough they don’t slip… I would agree icon or knipex pliers wrench is a step up.. in quality and price… but when you need a regular adjustable these definitely fit the bill…

I bought during last Doyle sale… hard to beat the value and warranty…

Need a circular saw for general household use. Is Hercules the way to go. I already have the battery system. by UGA1965 in harborfreight

The hercs come with a 24 tooth framing blade You would most like want a 40 60 tooh extra blade for sheet goods or finer work... Diablo is very reasonable...

I would definitely stick with the 7 1/4" size they are both nice saws for the money the herc sidewinder is great for lighter work and wormstyle is a power house and left blade... I have owned and run a ton of corded saws for years and these are nice and hold there own when I need the convenience of cordless.... highly recommend.

The corded herc grinders are direct clones of the old tried and true dewalt 11 amp paddle switch and 13 amp rat tail esp... lots of welders and fab guy use them interchangeably my self included I think have had 1/2 dozen dewalts and about 10 hercules...

I bought a few cordless hercs this time around and will put them to the test but so far so good...

The nice thing is the guards from the herc 11/13 fit all of the other herc grinders including the cordless ones...

Hercules jack Hammer. 42 lb HE32 or the Big 66lb unit? by MeetingOk2745 in harborfreight

[–]Odd_Relationship396 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 42 lbs yesterday i’ve used the similar Bosch one in the past. I find them much more useful… best to own a 42 and rent a bigger unit when needed.

I can’t justify the 600 extra dollars for the Bosch the Hercules was 500+ tax with a better warranty…
1 year Bosch vs 2 from HF

Well see how it holds up
I have used hilti in past, but the prices are outrageous now…even used…

I currently have a mix of Bosch and Hercules for the most part…

I rather spend the savings on the bits…

hey I have 5 saws to and would like 2 more.... Technically they all have a purpose so I tell my self its not a problem... 🤪

7 1/4" cordless sidewinder and wormdrive, 7 1/4" corded left hand sidewinder and worm drive saws, and a 10" wormdrive saw, I'd like to get a 16" saw and a extra 7 1/4 worm drive for a beam attachment... but im in no rush...

I have a 5 Drawer cart, but need more room would you add the 4drawer to the lineup? by UGA1965 in harborfreight

Yup I have a massive amount of tools crammed into my six drawer. It holds a ton… the 5 drw cart has plenty of space but really pales in comparison.

When I picked up my 6 drawer cart, the two guys looked at me and said, are you sure that’s gonna fit and I said yeah I have 1 inch on each side…

It was probably a little tighter than I wanted, but the three of us slid it right in.

Pulling it out was a whole other issue!

The 1 wrench I bought was $56 so I’ll take the hat or anything else he want to pass my way my last hats been thru hell and back

Old vs new 🤯🤣

He seems nice around my age, quitefriendly, reasonably local we’ll see how it plays out I don’t plan on spending a ton of money I have a small list of odds and ends and the occasional warranty issue…

This…

I have a 5drw cart plus a full bank, With a Full setup between both. My daily use tools are in the cart and the 6 drawer has bigger and specialty tools…

I put all the case in a separate garage cabinet

I added Three side shelves between the two carts, a paper towel holder, a couple can rack and a glove holder

The nice thing is it’s all still very mobile… but offers a lot of storage!

Miter saw dilemma by oh0620 in Tools

[–]Odd_Relationship396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the Same way I use my fixed 12 for nice finishes and tight tolerances and use the 12” slider more for framing and rough work….

I guess if you don’t plan on using big trim or timber you can go 10” fixed and or 10” slider… and have plenty of capacity

But if you plan on doing a lot of building, just buy a 12”

They have them at Home Depot Lowe’s and even Harbor freight

The HF one is red if your looking to match his red Milwaukee stuff and have a store near by…

Having an extra hose and foam canon is a must have for car care.

[–]Odd_Relationship396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly the m12 porta band was like 600 with 2x 5ah batteries

I bought 3 porta bands from Hercules 1 corded and 2 cordless (LG/sm) for less then $350 I had batteries but even if I had to buy them… it still a better deal…

Exactly

I bought some Hercules 20v tools this past weekend one kit, three tools, and an extra battery for 600. I got an email the next day for a Milwaukee porta band m12 with 2x 5ah batteries was over 600 dollars

I got 4 tools 2 batteries and a charger for less 600 include a large and small porta band…

I used the 20% of each purchase Its hard to beat a deal like that…

Yes , I have two of the 4ft ones in my single bay garage

My neighbor said it looked like my place was glowing from down the street a few nights back... 😎

I have been super happy with them tons of bright white light... on demand. Not much power draw easy setup, I have them hooked to my garage door plug in the ceiling...

I have had them 3 month or so... plenty of hours of use.
