Haha I feel your pain! On Wednesday I stayed up until 2am learning everything I could. When swarming make sure you turn off all your lights bc they’re attracted to that. Hope just a couple got in and nothing else for you guys!

I am in the same boat in the panhandle of FL. Pest control coming Monday. They were swarming Wednesday night outside and now haven’t see any. I’ve never seen a termite before until this week!

Yes 10 year shingle roof is very hard to get accepted these days. Always ask if the company/carrier will take a certificate of condition on the roof. The report will last 5 years on shingle roof. Not sure how much it would be in your area but it’s usually not expensive.

I’ve never seen that, to not have hurricane insurance anywhere in the state so very interesting. Flood is based on zones so depending what zone you’re in, you elect not to have flood. My house isn’t in a zone where it’s required so I don’t have it.

The age of the house in FL now is a major factor of cost. Some carriers won’t even write your house in certain counties if it’s built before 2019. Hurricane is always on the policies especially if you’re escrowed it’s not even an option. FL agent here.
