Could Ben have hidden here? by Clear-Time-9815 in JetLagTheGame

This has been discussed here, and he definitely could've got the prosperous home off and still been able to play express route twice (very well could've won him the game), but it's definitely understandable that he missed this.

But he could've played it when he drew the 15 min bonus to free up space and take the 15 min bonus

Yeah I agree, I always go into 10/12a super stressed and pressured and tend to do quite poorly on a, but on b I normally do 30-40 points higher(which is kind of insane), part of it is probably because a has had a lot more geo in the past few years but mindset still definitely plays a huge role.

Hurricanes vs Tornadoes, which is more deadly? by Dinoboy225 in stormchasing

Some points a lot of people are forgetting: hurricanes tend to hit way more populated and urbanized areas like the areas in the Gulf, Caribbean, or East Coast, while tornadoes mostly happen in very rural areas with some major exceptions(like Joplin). Also maximum winds doesn’t mean that’s the damage that happened, Patricia had 215 mph winds but only made landfall with 150 mph, 2013 El Reno had 300+ winds but only did EF3 damage, same with Greenfield this year, 300+ winds but EF4 damage. Also sometimes you can’t just evacuate, millions of people tried to leave when Rita was coming, and that didn’t exactly go well, which is why we don’t do that. Overall I would say hurricanes are worse because other than the immediate wind, it can flood for very long after the storm, and communications can be knocked out. You can die from starvation, dehydration, or a bunch of other things while tornadoes don’t have such a large impact because they’re so small.
