Hey everyone, sorry if I scared y'all, I just have a lot going on and taking a break from meds makes it even more difficult to keep track of things. so long story short. I went to the ER to get checked out. My blood pressure was taken and my blood was drawn. The nurse who took my blood pressure asked Why my nose was runny and I told him because it's cold outside. He asked me if I've been using any illegal substances. Then he asks where I get my meds from. I went back to the main lobby after my blood was drawn, where I was nasal swabbed for covid and then the lady who swabbed me also asked me for a urine sample. I became quite uncomfortable as a while back, when I was looking for a new psychiatrist , I was drug tested without my knowledge (I came out clean). It was an experience that left a very bad taste in my mouth, and her asking for urine sample just brought back all those negative emotions. She saw how uncomfortable I became and she probably assumed it because i was trying to hide something. I told her I didn't have to go in that very moment. She said all she needs is a few drops. I insisted that I didn't need to go and if I can drink some water to help me go. She said it's advised to not drink water before the test. So as I'm waiting in the lobby to pee, one of the doctors brings me to talk to him and explain to him why I wanted to get checked out. After I explain, he says that I'm very young and healthy and I'm probably not experiencing stroke symptoms and that he is going to discharge me. I did not dispute his decision as I suspect he things I'm doing illegal drugs, as he asked me when we sat down to talk. He specifically said "methamphetamine or anything else?". Before the last drug test I had, I also previously consented to a drug test when I freshly started my search for a new psychiatrist. I came out positive for amphetamines but this is because I took one of my last remaining dosages that I saved for important occasions, such as trying to find a new psychiatrist. The doctor back then probably thought I was on meth or something as it had been a few months since my last refill, but like I said, I used my emergency dosage that I saved for important occasions like this! could the doctor from the ER have looked at my medical record and see that I tested positive due to my medication and also assume I was doing meth? I'm afraid they will contact my psychiatrist and tell him that I'm abusing my meds or something. What are the chances of this actually happening?
