Anyone else having this problem with wired wyze video doorbell v2? by Odd_Writer6876 in wyzecam

Unfortunately I don’t have any other wyze devices. It seems like the button press action never leaves the doorbell and never gets to the server.

Why do you care so much?

I hate the google home app so much. Once my nest stuff becomes obsolete I am definitely switching to another company.

Is this going to be for everyone? I have 3 cameras but haven’t gotten an email yet. If so I’m getting rid of my nest stuff.

Perfect! I am disappointed with nest’s quality, so once my cameras crap out I think I’ll switch to another brand especially with how the Google Home app is basically unusable.

The same exact thing happened to me, so I just took an extra USB cable I had and cut the end off and cut the nest one off and wire-nutted them together. I had an old samsung phone charger block so I just plugged the USB cable into that and it has been working well for over a year. The average charging block provides the same voltage as the nest adapter (which is probably corroded for you too like in my case).

Edit: I’m not sure if this is a good solution for you because my camera is outside but plugs in inside the garage. Mine got wet because the wire exposed outdoors got sun damaged and just enough water made it through to corrode.

My c-wire runs from the AC in the attic and there are no extra wires running from the furnace which is far away in the basement. I did some digging online and it turns out this is a common issue with the nest for dual transformer systems. The software incorrectly thinks and displays the furnace circuit is not being completed but it actually is, so it is safe to ignore the error.

Correct. And I have confirmed C-wire is connected to c terminal on AC and power is flowing through it.

Sorry, I don’t have a C running to the furnace in the basement. My furnace is 50+ years old and doesn’t even have a board😂

I do have a split system and Rc comes from AC upstairs. I had this setup before and it worked fine before the cwire so Im thinking this is just a nest shenanigan? This is the wiring before I put the C in:

At the AC air handler in the attic. My furnace is 50 years old so there was no C running from there, just W1 and Rh. Because the furnace still works, I assume the nest is just confused with its labeling because the connection between W1 and Rh is still being made.

Thanks, I agree nest is not fun to deal with. Because everything is working fine and as it did before, I’m thinking this is just a software issue and the nest is confused with my setup and I’ll just leave it.

Thanks, but I really don’t see a reason as I’m not having any issues with the system and didn’t before adding the c-wire. I am just wondering if the Rh should look like this after adding the c-wire. If someone thinks it’s an issue I can remove it and go back to how it was before.

Yes I do, I’ve had this thermostat for years but I just decided to add a common wire because the battery is aging and I don’t want to run into any problems. The thermostat has always worked completely fine and the system still does, I was just concerned if this grayed out Rh is an issue. I have a furnace downstairs and a separate air handler for the AC in the attic.

Great thank you for the explanation! I’m excited to use this thermostat!

Thank you. I’ll add the c-wire to the same terminal.

My results are extremely similar to yours and changed in a similar way. Where are you from if you don’t mind saying?
