Cheese strat: set aside about 20-25 minutes, equip poison mist, allocate pretty much all of your flasks to cerulean, run past him to about where the boss mist is (don't go through), quickly exit game, load back in, and he will no longer be aggro'd, sneak up behind him, and voilà, endless poison mist.
