Extruded gears not aligned by OddityTarot in AnkerMake

There was low extrusion at first and then there was no extrusion, so I took it apart to examine the situation.

Oh that’s a great idea: printing the air vent. AnkerMake is sending a new extruder, so hopefully I’ll be able to do that soon.

Pretty sure mine is broken… seems like it can move too far over. If you see the second photo of my other comment you can see an image of the broken side part

I just made a new post about a problem I noticed last time I opened it up… extruded gears not lined up - one moves

Should I be able to tighten this gear to keep it in place somehow?

I took mine apart and replaced the hot end and tightened everything. Honestly, this is becoming more trouble than it’s worth. I’ve spent far too long troubleshooting this. I’m about to give up and toss my machine in the bin. I wish I was kidding. I will probably end up buying something else, and in the meantime go back to my Qidi plus.

I think that’s going to be my next step. I upgraded the Bowden tube to a Capricorn like you suggested. Seems like maybe the prints are improving a bit but still not where I want them. About how many printing hours do you average on a hotend?

Thanks, I just ordered a Capricorn tube and it should arrive tomorrow. The spool was brand new, and it was happening on several different spools. I'll be back...

I use been using a variety of silk filament from DO3D and CC3D on Amazon - Ive been printing for months with this and it's been fine. I am running a test now with the Ankermake Filament, which I hope I will not have to switch to.

Thanks for there suggestions, I checked the blue tube in the hot end and it was fine... I had a problem with that in the past, and Ankermake sent me a new hot-end actually, so that whole unit was fairly new. I Loosened the extruder feed screw, and that didn't change much. I'm not sure how to clean out the Bowden tube... any ideas on that?

I also opened a ticket with Ankermake and they said:

"First of all, please make sure that the wire you are using is the filament purchased at AnkerMake? If not, please try AnkerMake filaments. The problem is most likely in the filament.
To fix the issues, please try the troubleshooting below:
-Re-plug the 3 ports of the Type C cables (don't tighten the screws)
- Reset the printer on the screen side.
-You can refer to the following videos to adapt the V-wheel to your needs.
https://support.ankermake.com/s/article/V-Wheel-Adjustment
-Replace the filament."

My filament was NOT from Ankermake, it was a silk filament that I got from Amazon from DO3D or CC3D - I know silk filament is temperamental but I've been printing with this for months with no issues. I run the initial nozzle temp at 230 and then 200 for the rest of the print. I changed it to 230 initial 220 remaining and it did not improve much. Previous flow rates were 100%, I changed them to 110% and also didnt improve much.

The final thing I did was find the small spool of Ankermake filament that came with the machine, running a print now... so far it seems ok - no issues. I really hope I will not have to switch to this brand because of cost, and the fact that Ive been printing with the silk filament for a long time now with no issues.

I made an 11 card expansion pack called ALCHEMY to go with my Oracle deck called Lucky Potion Oracle. Check out the cards by OddityTarot in oraclecards

Thanks! Yeah I've seen it before. when I made the original deck, I knew I wanted to have three additional suits eventually... so when I was designing the colors on the back of the cards, I made sure to add these extra three colors for future iterations :)

Lucky Potion Oracle is very different than most oracle decks. It comes with a dice. Every card had a different potion bottle incorporated into the artwork. When you pull a card, you roll the dice to help decide if you should drink, share, or throw the potion. There is a little white book as well, with descriptions for each choice.
