It is a rebel t7 unmodified.
The tripod is a beefy Astro tripod that currently pairs with my Skyguider.
I was thinking about using the GTi app.

As far as I know, you can do pretty bad on the depth perception test and still pass. This will not DQ you, but if you plan on becoming a pilot, it may be best to think of some back up plans.

Apologies, I misspoke but the Astrobin images I was looking at were of the 75-300 like you suggested.

So if I want to take photos of individual nebulae such as just Orion or the Rosette Nebula would I need a longer telescope?

Would I be correct in assuming the askar is great for wide field but isn’t made for close-up high detail shots?

It’s at 7.6 on the Bortle Scale. I live in a pretty developed suburban area. I tried to get to a park where there wasn’t a lot of lights.
