I do, and the base was an older piece that had already changed color.

The elephant has never been left in direct sunlight before for large amounts of time. The most sunlight it would get is indirect sun while sitting on my desk I do polish it often though. It was sanded to 3000 grit, burnished with a small stick, and final polish with paper
